Fluty of New Albany wrestled 120 last night at St. Charles. Also Delaney SC 170 beat Jones and Mulvey NA 150 beat Cannon 8-6

Dear God if Fluty stays at 120 and everyone else does too - we as a Central District will know, if for only one weight class, what NEO feels like at every weight at their sectionals!

It makes me sad that people complain about the central district wants to be good but when it time to wrestle a good kid in your weight they forfeit. How does one get better.you want to be the best you have to wrestle the best

120
----
1. Fluty (NA)
2. Wimer (CC)
3. Desmond (HD)
4. Grove City

If it is true and Fluty makes the drop to the minefield I pick him to win it. Although Wimer is the paper favorite, I think Fluty can pull off the upset. Desmond is stronger so I give him the edge against the Grove City kid who I cannot think of his name right now - the twin

Calling Wimer a paper favorite is an insult to all he has accomplished. He is very experienced in the matches that matter. He has placed at State and he has medaled in the Junior Olympics. Now I know none of these things guarantee a win but I will take that experience in a match that matters. When it comes to this time of the year sometimes the only thing that seperates wrestlers is who wrestles tight and who doesn't.

I don't have an opinion on these two wrestlers, but I don't think "paper favorite" is an insult as in "the argument for him would tear apart like paper" but rather I think by "paper favorite" nykc means Wimer is a favorite for the same things you mentioned -- the facts that can be written down on paper -- and nykc is essentially agreeing with you that it would be an upset for Fluty to win, which is akin to you saying "none of these things guarantee a win".

Not sure that it is an insult to what he has accomplished at all - matter of fact listing off those achievements just proved my point. On paper he has the credentials. Fluty is a tough kid and a heavy 120 - whereas Wimer's strengths are his technique and speed. I also did say "Upset" - I have the entitlement to an opinion right :)
The beauty of this is we will know in 1 week. Either way both kids will get out of this sectional as it seems to be the favorable one to be at for 120.

edit -- and while I wrote this bump_and_run answered for me. Thanks!!

My bad! I read 'paper favorite' as 'paper tiger'. You most definitely are entitled to your opinion as wrong as it may be..lol:)

Cooper has beat him twice. Once during OCC duals and once during the state duals. Major first time 10-9 second.

If someone who was at the meeting could post the seeds for this sectional it would be greatly appreciated. I know meeting probably isn't over yet just wanted to get a jump on it.
