Im not opposed to bringing in weapons as long as we are still able to retain "core" guys like Thomas and Haden.

Yeah, they need to lock up Haden with some of that money....and it will probably be a sizable chunk

Absolutely you sign Mike Wallace, if given that chance. We haven't had a receiver like him in Cleveland in ???

Change of scenery will do him good, and wait til he sees how much Cleveland fans would go crazy for him.

THANK YOUUUU. This dude would be a HUGE difference maker on this team. This team is talent deprived. So what we have to pay a little more than another team, get the talent on this team and we start to win and people see Cleveland as a great place to play. We have the money so lets do it, spend it, use it on TALENT.

I'd rather have Bowe but definitely wouldn't be disappointed if we got Wallace. I really don't see either happening though.

Agreed I really like bowe. My top choices are:
1. Bowe
2. Boldin(not happening)
3. Wallace
4. Jennings

Should Wallace land in Cleveland, it's a good bet that he willnot be catching passes from quarterback Brandon Weeden. Per La Canfora, the new Browns regime "badly wants to upgrade" on the 2012 first-round pick. New VP of player personnel Michael Lombardi allegedly called the Weeden selection a "panicked disaster" last offseason.
I haven't heard that before...calling BS on that

Exactly! They want to bring in another QB for competition to push Weeden yet they "badly want an upgrade" (Flacco, which won't happen)

Pat & Tim (Sirius XM) were talking about potential competition to be brought in for Weeden and the names mentioned were Matt Moore, Matt Cassel and, of course, Ryan Mallett. They obviously hadn't done their homework because they were suggesting Cleveland send a "2nd and a 4th" to New England. Moore & Mallett might have the arms for this system but Cassel? LOL

Good points by Savage. I completely agree about Flacco. I think he does a deal that doesn't handicap the Ravens. It doesn't make sense for him to take all the money if they have to lose other playmakers.

Sounds like DA & Chud have spoken a few times since Chud became the HC and they've displayed a desire to "reunite" in Cleveland.

Also sounds like corner & safety could be targets in FA (Greg Toler- CB Cardinals is a name to watch...a Horton favorite).

Also have done extensive film stufy on FA OLB's Quentin Groves & Shaun Phillips.

Vasquez (G-Chargers) will also be a likely FA target.

In the LOL department, former Chud offensive players Kellen Winslow & Braylon Edwards have reached out to Chud since his hire. Can you say "I need a job?"

Right now, JMJ is penciled in as the starter beside DQ at ILB.

Glad to see they plan on addressing areas of weakness. Hopefully we get a real FB and upgrade the TE position as well.

Bringing in DA would be a great move. Big arm QB should flourish in Chud's system.

Fullback was an area that was discussed that they will address and you know with Chud being a TE guy that he won't neglect that position. Cameron is about the only one I can see staying with the team and he's not ready to be a full time starter yet.

Vasquez intrigues me and is strong as Hell. 6'5" & 335 lbs with 39 reps in the bench press at the Combine. Still young coming off his rookie contract.

Bring him in for LG and Schwartz's older brother for RG. Then add some depth along the way in lesser FA or draft.

@MockingTheDraft: Kiper says there's a possibility Weeden could have been the first QB taken this year. "There's no QB that screams out, take me."

@ScottPetrak: ESPN's Kiper: #Browns Weeden would possibly be 1st QB taken if in 2013 draft. Nobody available clearly better than him, incl. Geno, Barkley
