And chud couldn't do it. No one was expecting 12 wins. Especially with their QB issues. But 4 wins? C'mon..

Throw in that he lost the locker room and there you have it.
He had Weeden & Jason Campbell playing QB. Who was his RB? How was he put in a position to succeed at all?

He had no QB and then when the front office deals your starting RB in the beginning of the season... I'm not sure how fair it is for that very same front office to be very surprised that he didn't win.

Would be hilarious (in a completely depressing way) if we switched back to the 4-3.

You people laughed at me when I told you Joe Banner was a troll.

I guess I am just happy it only took a year for everyone to catch on instead of the normal 3-4.
Why exactly is Banner a "troll"?

Actually fuck it...answer this question Iggy...was there "crazy excitement buzzing around Cleveland" this morning before this game? Remember when you said with Richardson and Weeden, the city was excited for Cleveland football again?

Oh that's right, you were wrong. You were always wrong and will continue to be wrong. No one gives a fuck what you have to say...so take your HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBAW username back on over to the OBR and leave this place. You'll only be missed by the other 60 year olds on this site who think the Browns should do it their own old school way.

Typically firings have alot more to do with what we don't see than what we actually see. Quit trying to act like you know the exact details of how everything went down. LOL at "fair." The guy is still going to be paid for the next 3 years, poor guy.

Do you even watch the NFL? Everyone pretty much agrees the Browns absolutely fleeced Indy in that Trent trade. So fuck off with that shit.

There were multiple games this year that the Browns could have won but lost. That partly falls on the coaching.

Who cares who his RB was? Edwin Baker actually had decent stats and so did Obgbonaya (sp?). Campbell was serviceable, so much so that we had a WR lead the league in yards.

So tell me again..what was all this great stuff that Chud did that he deserves another year with half a dozen pro bowlers?

Do the Browns have the 7-8 mil per year to pay a big time guy to come there?

Seeing tweets now, that he hasn't been fired.. but "organizational changes" are possible.

ESPN seems to be the only people claiming he was fired. Although it could be a Tony Romo back situation?

Oh? So you want to go forward in 2014 with Campbell and Edwin Baker as your starting QB and RB?

Last year Banner bought the Browns for $1 billion cash. I think he'd be okay with paying a head coach $7-8 million, if that's what it takes.

Obviously not, you an always improve personnel, but to lose in the fashion the browns did this season is on coaching.

I'd say there is a pool of people who care about fairness, and those would be the coaches who would consider completely changing their lives to go rebuild Cleveland.

This. If you are Bill O'Brien, you have Houston who stuck with Kubiak for forever and Cleveland who has become Oakland East. Where are you going to go? I would still consider Cleveland but they would need to offer a lot more years and a lot more money than Houston

There are only 32 head coaching jobs in the NFL. When the opportunity is there, most people take it.

The point was that I knew you didn't think this. And it is because they are marginal NFL players at best. If either of those guys are your starting tandem offensively, you aren't going anywhere.

It is a QB driven league. If you don't have one, you are going to suck. Doesn't matter who the coach is.

For those upset about the firing, think about when H&H took over and all the shit they got for giving Mangini one more year.

[h=4]Three Players[/h]

In speaking to theOBR believe DC Ray Horton has demonstrated his ability in dealing with the demands and issues of the season to be named HC of the Browns.

According to the players in question, Chud and Horton have not had a good relationship and it has worsened over the past month.

If they fire Chud, I would love to throw a lot of money at David Shaw, I think he could be an really good NFL coach. Couldn't see him leaving Stanford to possibly coach for one year in Cleveland though.

yeah, maybe...but Mangini wasn't their guy...at least I dont think he was. I pisses me off that you hire a guy then fire him when you didn't give him a chance. I have a lot of issues with Chud, but none were worth firing over in the first year. These two idiots running things didn't get him much in FA and they basically traded away the draft, so they didn't put him in the best position possible. Just my opinion

Lol when has a coach ever been against going somewhere because of how they treat their previous coaches?

If a super model wants to start dating you..are you going to say no and continue dating your average looking GF, becuase the super model broke up with her previous BF pretty quickly?

Let's see who they get. If they get a name guy, you could be right. I would tend to think they get stuck with a McDaniels type.
