From the non-replacement of Oneil Cousins to the insertion of Hoyer at QB and now the trade of Richardson, they are sending a clear message that they are not in "win now" mode. Campbell would've likely given them a better shot to win but they know what they have in him. Lombardi loves him some Hoyer and they want to see if he can come out looking like a genius by seeing what he's got in his boy. The ones I feel sorry for are season ticketholders and the Browns vets who have had to suffer through this.
Overall, I think it was a great trade but don't like the message it's sending.
I do agree that trading Joe Thomas probably isn't a bad idea right now. By the time they are any good, from how it looks, he'll be riding around in a Rascal.
