I think so too. Will have to wait and see what NOR does with the team but come trade time he should be available.

IMO, a legit power forward is what this team has been missing since Benedict Boozer left.

Randolph would be my choice. You NEED to get a young, talented core around LeBron if you want him to stay. I know that "win now" is the prevailing theme but you can't keep getting role players and over the hill guys.

Might as well keep JJ if that is your thinking.

I would love to keep JJ. IMO, JJ doesn't get involved enough in the offense. The fact of the matter is that LeBron doesn't just want a championship, he wants multiple championships. To do that, you need a stable solid core of talented players that can rule for years. Why would LeBron stay in Cleveland if he could go to say NJ with Yi, Harris, Lopez, CDR, Lee, Williams, and possibly John Wall!? That's a talented young core that LeBron could win with for years.

The Thunder have done it the right way by building around Durant with young talent like Green, Westbrook, Harden, etc...The Cavs unfortunately have mismanaged the draft and failed to keep Boozer. They have some good young talent in Mo, Andy, Delonte, JJ, etc. But more is needed.

Failed to keep Boozer? He screwed Cleveland and walked out.

Randolph is in the same boat with Hickson. Pretty good talent but hasn't been consistent. There is no sense in making a trade for Randolph if it includes Hickson.

Speaking of Bosh, I'm still waiting for him to be a Cav. Somebody argued with me on the old huddle that he'd be a Cav by the allstar break. There is still time...

He may have more upside but JJ isn't too far behind. If they play for the Cavs this year they won't be trusted in the playoffs and wouldn't be on the floor in key situations.

Cleveland needs to get a guy like West, Jamison, or even Bosh (crazier things have happened). Keep JJ and let him mature and develop, as he is doing okay for his first true season.

Boozer would be a perfect PF for Cleveland. He could be had too, as long as people could get over THE SITUATION (which both Booze and the front office are at fault for).

I'd be making calls to George Shinn every day...just waiving cap flexibility and bags of money at him. That's like porn to a man with George Shinn's greed.

Sage, you are correct Boozer is an option and has been for the past year. Cleveland fans are torn but he is a baller and I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

a player that I am going to get hammered for mentioning, but feel would fit almost flawlessly into what we need to do is Elton Brand. His injury to his achillies tendon takes more than a year to heal, he came back too soon, then had the shoulder injury happen this year. He is finally coming back to his normal self, and has absolutely dominated the last 5 or so games. He rebounds, he scores, he blocks shots, thats exactly what we need. We have players already on the roster who can play the run and go style, but we have nobody at PF that demands attention under the basket. Brand would be that. His contract is huge, but we are not going to get to trade an expiring contract for another expiring contract, ala the Boozer scenario's. Unless we are going to take Kirelenko's contract as part of it, it just won't work. Troy Murphy, Elton Brand, Chris Kaman are the names that we need to be interested in, guys who are playing well and still have years left on their current deals. We have 30+ million in expirings to work with, we need to be open to all options.

Look again, I def mentioned his salary, and what the hell do you expect us to get in return, Michael fucking Jordan? We will either be dealing a 20 million expiring in Shaq, or an 11 million expiring in Z, or both. We are not going to be trading one expiring contract for another, that just doesn't happen. In other words, We won't be trading Shaq for Bosh, or Z for Boozer, or Shaq for Amare, etc. People worry too much about the bullshit NBA contracts are, when the fact remains to be that we are totally fucked when it comes to contracts as is. Even if Shaq and Z's deals just expire, With Mo, Varejao, Gibson and West under contract, not even mentioning the rest of the team, we are going to go right back up to the cap to resign LeBron, so our ONLY way to get anyone of significance here is via trade, and again, we won't be trading expiring for expiring. We have next to nothing to offer teams in return to get a Chris Bosh regardless, Delonte isn't going to be attractive to anyone now, Gibson is the same Gibson as usual, Hickson is getting better, but he alone won't be good enough to land us an All-Star via trade, etc.
