They were in their own territory with 6 seconds left. One play and a terrible IU penalty...boom!

As I said in another thread. I don't give a shit. I never bought into the whole rooting for a conference. I have one team and that is OSU. If Wisky, UM, MSU struggles I really don't lose any sleep over it. Those aren't my teams.

I don't get why people care so much about the conference doing well.

As long as OSU makes improvements on not going cold on offense for long stretches, and our defense stops giving up so many big plays that is all I care about this season. Continue to improve, when as many games as you can. Next season I am looking forward too already.

My feelings exactly.

The only reason the conference thingy comes into play is to separate teams with equal records at the end of the season for the BCS Mythical National Championship Game. In a sane, rational universe, some type of playoff format would decide such things.

Yeah, but how many losses to BCS elligble teams do we have too? And, it's not like those "BCS teams" that the B1G DID beat will even be in BCS bowls, let alone any major bowls.

It really pains me to say it, but even I (as an avid Big Ten fan) have to admit that the Big Ten just isn't a very good conference this year

Idk.

Yeah the ACC likely has better teams at the top (i.e., FSU and Clemson) but if you look at the conference as a whole, I still think the Big Ten > ACC.

I didn't say that as a defense of the B1G but to show how pathetic that is. :)

The B1G is fine. A top 2 conference at worst.

WTF? You're not even going to give some stupid reason why? This is just poor effort on your part.

Well considering 2 annual powers, Ohio State and Penn State, can't even play in a bowl game this year, of course the league is going to be "down".

$10 says the B1G sends 2 teams to the BCS and takes home at least 1 trophy. If that's a "down" year, then I'd love to have down years every year.

The winner of the B1G will be Michigan State(who played a terrible game against a lucky Irish team that will lose 6 games).

And either Wisconsin or Michigan, both teams who would win the SEC East year in year out.
