Fog day = snow day. Very thick and dense fog. As soon as it was time to go to school, it lifted. Lol

It's a shame Mississippi State didn't have the same foresight.

I have heard such stories. I heard companies have been cracking down on the gifts though. Hopefully, if/when I make my way toward the private sector I am put in the position to accept game tickets (preferably season tickets to the Browns + flying me out to the games). Yeah, i would def be a sell out.

a 2hr delay would make sense. not closing the school for the day.

Agree, but have to factor in buses. School start at 10:00, but buses leave at 8:30.

Two hour delay.

If the fog cleared at 8am ... when school was supposed to start ... then the busses still would have had a half hour before having to leave.

Busses normally leave at 6:30am for school at 8am.

At 8am, the fog clears. Busses leave at 8:30am. School starts at 10am. Two-hour delay.

What did I miss?

End of fiscal year for me, work typically is hectic this time of the year, but so far it's alright.

It is surprisingly stressful....but I've never once complained about it on here and the pay is good.

Rural districts are cornered on the canceling school choice. In my district, some kids are on the bus before 6:00 am and about 80% of our students ride the bus. We have a tough old woman that makes the call and she rarely sides on the cautious side.....hopefully nothing bad ever happens cause it'll be her tail....and of course you never want anything bad to happen.

I can't see the negative of calling for a 2-hour delay before possibly canceling.
