This. I'm in a 10 team league this year so I doubt I'll even draft a kicker.

Here's my team this year. Picked 4th in a 12 team standard league.

Team Name: Weeden My Brownies

QB: Romo
RB: McCoy, Murray, Ben Tate, Daniel Thomas
WR: Julio Jones, Percy Harvin, Lance Moore, Denarius Moore
TE: Hernandez, Winslow
K: Janikowski
D: Jets

ESPN scored our draft and I got the second highest grade in our league. Not quite sure how it was scored but I'll take it lol. As long as Murray and Jones pan out I should be doing well.

In a stupid autodraft league but it did our draft at 6am this morning and here is my results in a standard scoring 12 team league

QB: Cam Newton, Jay Cutler
RB: Frank Gore, Law Firm, Roy Helu, Rashard Mendenhall(gave me Evan Royster but I just picked up Mendenhall for him)
WR: Victor Cruz, Julio Jones, Mike Wallace, Titus Young, Alshon Jeffery
K: Stephen Gostkowski
D/ST: Steelers

Start 2 RB and 3 WR. One WR can be a TE but obviously I don't have any.

I don't get this strategy. Why would you not draft a kicker?

In a 10 team league there's going to be plenty of kickers on FA. Kicker is the hardest to rank before drafts and there isn't much of a gap or scoring difference between them. So why not use as much roster space as possible and try to get a little deeper at other spots? Then just pick up a kicker once you figure out who's not looking good enough to keep.

You need a kicker for week 1. So you're gonna drop someone you just drafted before they play at all anyway. Makes no sense. Or maybe I'm just a dumbass and don't understand. Lulz.

No thats true, it just gives you maximum time to let the preseason finish and more time to wait on any injury news.

It's on Yahoo. Best first rounds I've ever had, Rice, Lynch and Murray will be unstoppable with Eli
You're playing with a bunch of retards. How the HELL did you get Lynch and Murray in the 2nd and 3rd rounds in a 14 team league? Especially with the 2nd pick too? You're right, in a 14 team league, your opponent will be lucky to have one RB that could start for you. Wow it still amazes me how some people have no idea how important RB still is, even though it is a QB league now.

At the very least it gets another player off the board so someone else can't have them for the time being. Of course I will need to get a kicker, but I'd rather try and snag a good player towards the end and make my final cuts when I need to.

Yeah it was on yahoo. So I copied and pasted ESPN's rankings and put them in mine instead of Yahoo's. Those retards have Ryan Matthews at #4 for christ's sake

No. And it's a $20 buy-in. The only reason I played is because I knew that since it was on Yahoo and their rankings were so bad, I could just enter in all of ESPN's and then have a loaded team. And Eli, Rice, Murray and Lynch is pretty damn good lol. Winner gets $450

Had our draft last night. 12-team league. 0.5 PPR. 6 points per rush/receiving TD. 4 points per passing TD. 10 yards rushing per point. 8 yards receiving per point. 25 yards passing per point.

I was about the 8th or 9th pick. Here was my draft:

QB: P. Manning, J. Freeman
WR: Ca. Johnson, V. Cruz, M. Austin, N. Washington, D. Nelson, Ja. Jones, S. Smith (StL)
RB: T. Richardson, A. Bradshaw, B. Wells
TE: J. Tamme
K: S. Gostkowski
DEF: Pittsburgh

Defenses have the potential to score as well as players in our league, so I did draft the defense in around Round 12 or 13. Kicker was the next to last round.

What do you guys think?

Just got done with my draft. I had the 6th pick out of 12.

QB: Brady (1)
RB: Matthews (3), J. Stewart (6), DeAngelo W. (8), Helu (9), Spiller (11),
WR: Welker (4), Maclin (5), StevieJ (7), L.Moore (10), S. Moss (12), LaFell (13),
TE: Gronk (2)
Def: Cowboys (14)
K: Hanson (15)

I don't love my team, but I think I can fight for a playoff spot if Matthews doesn't miss more than 2 games and one of JStew or DW take over the Panthers #1 duty without tons of questions. I was really happy to get Welker and Macline in the 4th/5th.

Yeah, Austin doesn't exactly have a history of injury-free football either, but if he and TRich stay healthy, I was pretty happy.

Shallow at RB, but my fill-in is at least a feature guy (Beanie), and I figure I have enough receivers that ONE of them is going to have an upside.

I'm really counting on Manning and Tamme hooking up like they did in Indianapolis, but you never know with more teams going to the 2 TE format.

I really like your team along with Steel Reserve. Not as optimistic about my team, haha

I dig your receiving corp. In a PPR, Welker will continue to be a point machine. I was never that high on Maclin, but he's not an awful guy to have. Jordy Nelson will be Tits McGee this year, so that will bode VERY well for you. If healthy, Austin has a HUGE upside. Moss is a crap shoot.

Your RBs are a little shallow. Stewart still plays a nominally secondary role to DWill. Same with Tate behind Foster. Same with Williams behind Beanie.

Romo could have a great year or an implosion year. When his head is on straight, he's solid, but he can get into his own head too much.

Dustin Keller is a quiet treat in FFL. He's solid, and Sanchez liked him as a target early last year. Consequently, they did well on offense when they included him frequently.

Defense is old, but the Bears should be serviceable.

Kickers are a roll of the dice.

I'm actually low on Jordy this year, I just don't see his huge TD production repeating this season.

I dont understand ppl drafting back up QBs, especially rookies. I never draft back up QBs, and will pick one up (that I bet is better than Luck will be) the week my QB is on bye. Its like drafting a back up def, who the fuck knows.
