Sure it matters who had it first in the air. It is a question of timing, not whether you are on the ground or not!

They realize how insane jeopardizing the integrity of the league was over a few million dollars when you are a tens of billions a dollars a year company.

Trent Dilfer said as much. Are the owners that dense that they would rather embarrass the league and the brand than just end this lockout and get the focus back on the game?

Oh I'm not making fun of him or anything.

I believe it was an int. BUT until I see a view where the ball is TOUCHING his chest and Tate's arm isn't in there, I don't think it was technically a bad call

That view they just showed on the nfl network, Tate's inside arm is def inside the hands on Jennings'. If it stays there, it's the right call. There's no good angle though.

I knew you were making fun of him.

I won't get on him though because if I was a hall of fame player who poured half my life into that league I would probably be sad as well seeing it be needlessly embarrassed and humiliated because of a group petty owners and commissioner who clearly never learned the meaning of penny wise pound foolish when it comes to negotiating.

which means indisputable evidence. First look on the field, I probably would have called it a TD as well.

Yes they should...they blew one game. The regular refs blow a lot of games, too. Goodell shouldn't and won't cave to their ridiculous demands.

The league's "integrity" is being jeopardized yet the ratings are probably at an all time high. Explain that one to us journalist.

Personally, the only people who will be able to exert pressure on Goodell to settle this are the Vegas bookmakers. Once they start losing money they will talk to Goodell and the lockout will end.
I think McCarthy handled it very well. It is not up to him to exert pressure on Goodell. He tried to focus on the changes he made to help them get back in the game, and was regretting why he didn't make them sooner -- taking responsibility for something he could control!

24 penalties called for a total of 245 yards combined.

That is completely out of control, and is not letting the players play.
The players have to get some of the blame! They are not playing like they normally would. They are committing more fouls and trying to put extra pressure of the officials to try to take advantage of them.

Yep, I completely agree with this. For the most part I thought the officiating was fine even though there were a lot of calls, but even with 24 penalties there were still a few bad no calls.

I'm sure AOL thought the same thing. We have an All Time high number of users we don't need to make changes. We don't need to listen to our customer base. Just because their getting great ratings doesnt mean the bad PR isnt hurting them.

Not only this but former player will use this in their court case against the NFL. They will point out that certain penalities are there to protect players from injurys and the NFL isnt taking every precaution to protect them by employing the best refs to protect their saftey.

Twitter is freaking awesome tonight.

@ItsBadLuckBrian: Intercepts the ball to win the game. Replacement refs.

@marlettjm: “@YahooFootball If Aaron Rodgers had All State instead of State Farm, he would have been protected from this mayhem.”
