Griffith from Big Walnut is out for the year with tore Acl. He tore it at elgin in overtime against Kulhwein from Alder. 7 matches away from 100 wins. I wish him the best of luck next year playing college football. Tough kid

The Central combined sectionals have out wrestled the East for the last two years. In both 2010 and 2011 the Central led the East in state qualifiers from this district by a 30-26 count. I'll predict this will be reversed this year as the pendulum swings back to the East.....maybe in a big way.....31-25 or 32-26.

I hope I'm wrong and am eating crow after all is said and done.....

Wow....I just got done reading the State Tournament predictions as done by Josh Lowe (aka Bucksman).

http://www.yappi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=234681

He sees total domination by the East District.....42-14!! He actually had it 41-15, but still had Griffith from Big Walnut listed. I read Griffith is injured and his career is over....accurate?

Granted, Bucksman may have a few guys in the wrong weights.......but I don't see anything close to things being that bad for the Central. 14 state qualifiers coming from the two D2 Central sectionals.....come on!! As stated above, last year it was 30-26 in favor of the Central. I know the landscape has changed in the Central, but I don't think Bucksman has hit the mark this time.

Does anyone else think he went overboard on this? Thoughts?

Thank goodness this is settled on the mat, and not voted on like the BCS!

Of course, I've not seen Shurina wrestle. However, I have seen the rest of them. They are all pretty good, but I think Moray could definitely give them a run for their money. I might even put him top 2.
Looks like you are on the mark with Moray. I see he topped Johnson from Claymont in the big dual last week....

Thanks!!! But not in school!!! If anything you might need me someday!!!!!:o Please tell me why you think the EAST will not dominate this year. How many state qualifiers do you see the Central getting!!! I say 15-17 at the most, Central is that weak this year!!

The district got alot weaker when Columbus Suburban schools bumped up to D1. I do like a few who seem to have been missed. Lagase (LV) 160, Parsons (LV)126, Wogan (LV) 170, Harble (LV) 182. McCowen 195and Owens (LV) 220 is tough as well. The city league will be well represented at this district. Gusan, Patrick and etc. Not to mention Whitehall.

I see Parsons(120) and Harble making it, maybe McGowen, Whitehalls best chances are Straight, Farrow, and maybe King

In the predictions. I do not see the Straight kid from whitehall even coming close to.beating McGhee from Stubenville. The kid is good, he's a whole nother level from Straight.

When I was in school and wrestled at this district it was a whole lot tougher. Always one of the tougher ones. But times change.

I bet he gets majored or pinned. He handled boyd by major and the kid is lightening in a bottle. He looks like a bigger theo dotson out there wrestling. Theo is one of the quickest and smoothest wrestlers I've ever seen and this kid is that close to him.

I see Parsons(LV) beating Parada(ST) in the finals. Parsons only 2 losses came when he had to forfeit because of injury. Parada wont be able to handle this mexican.

I guess we won't see the McGhee vs Warner match again? Warner stayed at 152. Heard Darran Warner cut to 120 also. Things could be interesting at 120 if he did that.
