December 5th, 2011 CALEDONIA - River Valley opened its 2011 campaign with a pair of wins in a tri-match held at RV on Tuesday.River Valley downed Tiffin Columbian 44-31 and North Union 56-15. Tiffin Columbian won the other match, 40-24 over North Union.
These River Valley wrestlers were all 2-0 on the night: Ben Crabtree at 106 (21-7 major decision, pin in 3:15); Jonathan Edwards at 120 (17-1 tech fall, 16-0 tech fall); Collin Rollison at 132 (pin in 56 seconds, pin in 1:12); Steve Workman at 138 (pin in 5:16, pin in 1:25); Clay Rollison at 195 (pin in 1:29, pin in one minute); and Seth Lyon at 220 (forfeit, 8-7 decision).
Jackson Law at 113 (pin in 4:52), Kevin Stephens at 152 (forfeit), Jordan Hale at 160 (pin in 1:18), Gage Stuckman at 170 (pin in 3:54), Chris Fattig at 182 (16-1 tech fall), Aron Gibson at 285 (pin in 23 seconds) and Alec O'Brien at 132 (pin) were all 1-1 for the Vikings. Garrett Trafzer at 170 was 1-0 with a pin win.
The wins by O'Brien and Trafzer were in extra matches against Grandview Heights. Ray Raimo at 126 also wrestled for RV

December 14th, 2011 "Caledonia River Valley's wrestlers went 2-0 on Wednesday to win the Marion County Meet at Pleasant High School.The Vikings stopped Marion Harding 55-23 and downed Pleasant 52-27.
In the other match, Pleasant edged Harding 42-36.
Jackson Law, Jonathan Edwards, Steven Workman, Kevin Stephens, Jordan Hale, Clay Rollison and Chris Fattig were all 2-0 for RV. Ben Crabtree, Ethan Silva, Collin Rollison, Alec O'Brien and Josh Lewis each won once.
Zon Fields, Josh Alexander, Drake Colbree and Jeffery Fairchild all won twice for Pleasant while Brandon Ballinger and Ryder Delavern were double winners for Harding.
Brandon Angles, Ethan Ice, Taylor Young and Nick Smith grabbed one win each for Pleasant. Tyler Cermak, Casey Nelson, Anthony Nye, Willie Morris, Nathan Marmol, Brantlin Williams and Josh Hickman won one match each for Harding."
