Portland still has to pay Roy, so I imagine they still own his rights until that contract or the money is paid.

They really should have cut away from this game and just showed us the LA - Portland game... Sucks I've missed the entire 1st half.

Harlan "This is a black eye for Atlanta"
Chuck "Yeah, and I wanna punch them in the other eye"

lol, Chuck and Reggie were pretty good together tonight. Chuck had me rolling, and his presence seemed to make Reggie feel more comfortable being honest and calling people out.

Just read on Wiki that they used their Amnesty Clause on him. So technically he is a free agent, right?

Also read this...for the lulz
Roy's longtime girlfriend Tiana Bardwell delivered their first child, Brandon Jr., whom they nicknamed BJ, on March 27, 2007, in Seattle.[SUP][44][/SUP]
About two months later, Roy took Bardwell out to look at rings "just to get an idea of what she'd like". On June 16, 2007, while both were at Roy's home in Renton, Washington, he sent Bardwell a text message instructing her to look in a drawer in his closet, telling her that she could have whatever she found. Bardwell discovered a ring that she had mentioned she liked, at which point Roy entered the room with their son and said, "BJ wants to know if you will marry his daddy". Bardwell immediately accepted. Roy said the entire proposal was "free-styled".[SUP][45][/SUP] Roy and Bardwell had their second child, Mariah Leilani, in January 2009.[SUP][46][/SUP]
Roy and Bardwell got married on September 4, 2010, in West Linn.[SUP][47][/SUP]

Agreed. Chuck was the only reason I didn't turn that borefest off.

Yep.

They owe him $63 million still, but under the CBA his salary only counts against the cap for 1 season. After he's been gone longer than a year due to "medical reasons" his salary no longer counts against their salary cap. They still have to pay him though.

Has to be something more than that, I have no cartliage left in one of my knees. Sure it hurts after working out, but with the type of injections and treatments they get, I would think he could manage

There HAS to be a free agent PG or someone they can get traded to the Lakers to give them a legit point guard. Watching blake and fisher play defense is kinda funny

Bynum has been in beast mode though, wonder how long until he injures himself

It was close to happening in this game, I saw him limping off at half due to twisting his ankle or some shit...

But yes, Raymond Felton has sliced up LA's defense.

Lol that dude is so injury prone, as are most big men. Its a shame really.

And yeah, most all Pgs tear the Lakers up now a days. Especially quick ones.

[h=3]Report: Warriors Attempting To Trade For Howard[/h]Jan 05, 2012 11:07 PM EST
The Golden State Warriors have emerged as aggressive suitors for Dwight Howard.
Golden State management is willing to take Howard as a one-season “rental,” with the hope of selling him on signing a long-term deal before he enters free agency this summer.
Like most teams, Golden State has inquired with Orlando Magic general manager Otis Smith, but the Magic have yet to commit to aggressively pursuing a trade of Howard.

They'd likely have to give up Curry and Lee, as well as somebody else most likely.

Not sure that's worth it.
