Week 1 waiver wire pickups

Who's worth a waiver pick up this week. So far without injury reports I would say Tate caddilac Williams and cobbs. If you need a qb you ccan choose from Fitzpatrick grossman.

I won both games but with Amendola out I need a pickup in one league.

Speaking of, I'm looking to upgrade my WR corps. Obviously these guys had big weeks, but are any of them worth picking up?

Doucet (ARI)
Baldwin (SEA)
Gaffney (WAS)
Massaquoi (CLE)

Doucet and Baldwin I'm thinking were one-hit wonders given their positions as slot receivers on bad/mediocre teams, but I'm giving a hard look at Gaffney (seven targets) and Massaquoi (Cleveland's potential #1). Also looking at David Nelson (BUF) since teams will almost certainly be keying on Johnson and Fitzpatrick has shown a lot of ability late last year and in week 1.

My receivers now are:

Mike Williams (TB)
Jordy Nelson (GB)
Sims-Walker (STL)
Little (CLE)
Benn (TB)

Although Sims-Walker is looking bust-y, I'm hesitant to drop him with Amendola likely out for the year. He should be getting some more touches, and I wasn't expecting him to get much in week one lining up opposite Asomugha.

i think cobb has more upside if hes available and your league give points for return yards then the four you listed

Unfortunately not available anymore, someone picked him up Thursday night during the game. Also, no points for return yards - just return scores.

I was able to snag Sproles off of waivers (I know cause I have 1st claim). I also somehow got Aaron Hernandez in a league. I have Pettigrew, so I cant really decide who I will start. Probably pettigrew. I usually hate having 2 TEs on the roster, especially when one is solid. But I couldnt pass it up. If the Pats continue to put up points like this, Ill be forced to drop/bench Pettigrew.

Picked up Gresham, B Tate, and Henne

Dropped C McCoy, Crabtree (my other WRs are Wayne, Fitz, Boldin, Ochocinco, and Julio Jones), and Daniel Thomas

Damn how did Tate not get picked up before week 1? I picked him up last Monday when Fosters injury was uncertain and they didn't know how long he would be out. Henne will be a nice pick up. I dropped Bradford for him.

Laley I'd probably start Hernandez anyway.

Picked up Aaron Hernandez and dropped Crabtree.

I got good production out of Hernandez 2nd half of last season.. I should have drafted him to begin with.

Hernandez is the higher reward player for sure. But I know what I will get out of Pettigrew, 5 catches and 75 yards. Possibly more and a TD. He is the safe, secure play. Hernandez could blow up again...or get 2 catches for 22 yards. Just never know where Brady is gonna go. I know Stafford is going CJ #1, Pettigrew #2, Burrelson #3.

Picked up David Nelson off the wire today. With all the attention paid to Stevie Johnson I think he can continue getting a decent amount of looks from Fitzpatrick.

Here are my 4 rb's. Mike Tolbert, Stephen Jackson, Ryan Mathews, and Jamaal Charles. Im dropping Charles obviously and want some input on who 2 pick up between Mcgahee and Shonn Greene(someone just dropped him) Tolbert and Jackson are both Q as of now. If Tolbert and Jackson are only gonna be out a short while i figure Mcgahee will be the better pick up for this week because he gets a ton of carries. But it seems like if all my rbs will be hurt then greene will be better long term since i doubt WM will get the carries when moreno returns.
