Alright I figured that I wouldn't have to ask this question but since it has come apparent that Manning is not going to play what QB do you think will throw for more passing yards?

Sam Bradford vs Philly or Kerry Collins at Houston?

It most likely won't matter since they will have to throw for more yards then Aaron Rodgers. But right now I have Bradford starting but just wanted to get some opinions.

Id go with Bradford. Collins just doesnt even know the offense. Way to tough to throw him out there without a week of watching first

Ill also just jump on this thread. I hope to have Ingram slotted in here before too long, but hate to count on rookies early. So who do I put in the Flex:

- Ingram (RB, NO)
- Edwards (WR, SanFran)
- Jones (WR, ATL)
- Smith (WR, Philly)
- Williams (WR, SEA)
- Little (WR, CLE)

man you must be in a league w 14 people im assuming...if not id hit the waiver wire and find another qb to start and another guy for the flex ...id go w williams or jones or edwards in that order if you decide not to go w ingram.

I'd go with Jones I think he is gonna be good this year. But if you don't want to start a rookie then go with Edwards.

If that was to me, my QB is Romo.

Its a 12 team league, I had the 11th pick. my starting positions are solid. Just the Flex is a bunch of ???s. Ill probably end up plugging in Jones, but a rookie on the road at Chicago has bad game written all over it. Hopefully over the course of the first 3 games or so someone from my bench singles themselves out. I have a lot of guys who could, or a bunch of dead weight. Could go either way.

Yes. Thats why I took flyers with WRs late instead of backup RBs.

Gblock my league is a 10 team league and I will try to explain this league set up as best as possible.

There are 5 categories (Passing, Rushing, Receiving, Defense, and Points)
You have to win 3 categories to win that week.
1 QB, Kicker, and Defense start
You have 5 Rushing/Receiving spots and you must start at least 1 RB and 1 Receiver(WR/TE) the other 3 spots can be all RBs or all Receivers or 2 more RBs and 1 WR/TE or 1 RB and 2 WR/TE.

Passing- whoever's QB throws the most yards wins passing
Rushing- Most rushing yards wins rushing. QB and WR/TE rushing yards do count.
Receiving- Most receiving yards wins receiving. QB and RE receiving yards count.
Defense- You must win 2 categories out of Yards Allowed, Points Allowed, and Turnovers
Points- Whichever teams players score the most total points wins points. Points are- All TDs are 6pts, 1 PPR, -3 for INT, -2 for Fumble, 3pt FG/1pt XP, 2pts for 2pt conversion, 3pts for 300yds passing, 1pt for ever 50 yards after 300, 3pts for 100 rushing/receiving, 1pts for every 50yds after 100. Then defense points are 2pts for INT, 1pt for sack, 2pts for fumble recovered, 5 points for safety, 6 points for TD.

This is my first year being in the league but I've followed it for the past 3 years since it with some good friends of mine just they never had a spot open. I would try the waiver wire for a QB but the only ones on there that are decent for yards are Hasselback, Campbell, Grossman, and Fitzpatrick.

It's an awesome league. I had a stragety(the draft was like 4 weeks ago and I had the 6th pick) and that change because I didn't think Peyton would still be there in round 3. I was going to wait for someone like Ryan/Schaub/Big Ben but I picked Manning instead of taking another RB. My RBs pretty much suck(Charles, Fred Jackson, Ryan Mathews, James Starks, Ben Tate) But I have some great receivers(Fitz, D Jackson, Steve Johnson, Jason Witten, Malcolm Floyd, Braylon Edwards, Austin Collie) I waited to long for a Def and got ATL and Rackers is my kicker. Its going to be interesting for me thats for sure haha.

I need to start 2 of these 3 (WR#2 and flex spots, my WR#1 is Fitzgerald):
Reggie Wayne
Marques Colston
Mario Manningham

For week 1, ESPN has them ranked in the above fashion when averaging 4 analysts' week 1 orders, but fantasy points projected in the opposite order. Weird.
http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/football/ffl/story?page=11ranksWeek1WR

Yahoo has their projected points as Wayne, Manningham, Colston.

My thoughts:
Colston and the Saints may find themselves in a shootout and needing to score lots of points (throwing the ball).
Manningham is a marquee WR on the Giants team this season.
Wayne doesn't have Manning throwing to him.

Colston & Manningham (remember Kerry Collins is the QB this week)

Wayne and Manningham.

Saints spread the ball around to much.

Wayne doesnt have Peyton, but Collins can throw a ball, and Wayne is the #1. Id expect him to still have a decent year receiving.

I decided to start Robert Meachem last night, and it paid off with 5/70/1 for 18 points. I should have taken your advice Pitman and started Jordy Nelson. He looks like he will see the ball enough in that offense that he could be a reliable fantasy starter this year.

Yeah Jordy will be a decent #3 WR this year. I know it doesn't matter now but from your guys I would have started Danny Amendola and Jordy Nelson.
