So I have the 5th pick in tonight's draft (9pm).

The guy with the 1st overall pick wants Vick but doesn't want to take him #1 overall.

I told him I'd give him my 5th pick and my 4th round pick, if he gave me the #1 overall and his 5th round pick.

Should I do this?

Bad deal for you. Is it really worth it to move up to 1 to drop one of your picks to the 5th? You really need to love someone at one to make this trade. I would force him to waste his top pick on Vick

I wouldnt do that. I think the #1 spot might be the worst spot to have this year.

Because here's the thing...I don't have to take over his position in every round..just the first round.

And I lose my 4th round pick...but I only have to wait 5 more picks til I pick again with his pick in the 5th...then I pick again 4 picks later.

I mean, its not terrible. You dont change much. But I wouldnt want to give up a 4th rounder (even if you get 2 picks in the 5th). #1 just isnt enticing. No clear #1. In fact, the top 4-6 players are all about even, imo.

I think AP is going to be heads and shoulders the best player this year so I would personally would do that trade, but that's just me.

Took the trade...got Arian Foster...then MJD..then Miles Austin...gonna grab a QB and a RB with my 2 5th round picks

What other WRs were out there. I dont HATE the Austin pick, but I am a little worried with his down year last season, and his drops.

Not sure who was there...I like Austin this year though. I think the Dallas offense is gonna be very very good.

As do I. I was mostly scared cause I think Dez is gonna be a big reason why. Like #1 WR type of reason.
