Seeding will be important as the 1 & 2 seeds will wrestle in the last round...but not necessarily for 1st place in some instances. Placement points will be awarded as well 2 points for every win (not bye), 2 more for a pin, 1 1/2 for a tech fall, 1 for a major. We'll see how the last round shakes down. Might be less dramatic if some weights will not be for 1st place.... Looking forward to 138, 145 and 152 in particular (not sure about Heldenbrand).
Soooooo whats the parallel on evening out the pools if there is a 7 man pool, ( a pool of 3 and a pool of 4), who benefits, the #1 seed or the #2 seed? The lesser pool receives no bye points?? The "Final" match may not be for 1st place....HUH???
What kind of crap shoot is this? "Congrats son, you didnt get to wrestle the top kid in the finale, but you finished 1st-2nd"
Perhaps next year we should just "over-schedule" and eliminate the WCAL tournament as Chippewa did last year....this is getting ridiculous.
Can ANYONE break it down a little better to "SELL" this format as to why it is better and who benefits????
Lookout...Norwayne may be your county champs this year.....
