Makes sense, you "dish it out" to a team that has been to the Finals 7 times in the last 12 years. As for being a douche, I am humbled that it comes from the King of that category.

What did I say that was incorrect? Dude mocks a sick opponent in a video and says "that's retarded" to someone asking him questions in a press conference. Seems kind of childish/immature to me. Does anyone else agree? Comments/actions like that might fly for the average "Joe" on the street but these guys are held to higher standards.

I think the retarded part is the media actually covering this.

I heard Wade and Lebron trying to rationalize why they did it. Supposedly they were doing it to see if the media would make a big deal out of it. What a joke. I hate when people treat the public like we are children. Just come out and say you were making fun of him. Don't come out with a BS story like that. It just makes you even more unlikable

If LeBron's intellect is infantile, what can be said about a man in his 40s who calls him a pussy on an internet forum?

What was there to hate about the Bulls?

I'm not sure I would say his intellect is "infantile", but I would definitely say he isn't exactly bright. Consider the Decision. Anybody with a brain could have told you how that was going to work out if you go anywhere except Cleveland. Also consider the fact that he described something as "retarded" as well as all of the other stuff he has done over the past 2 years.

At the very least he lacks logic and common sense.

I dunno, probably just that everyone was wearing Bulls Starter jackets and such. Hate might be too strong of a word really. They were great obviously, I just wasn't a fan.

Spot on. I read that bullshit in the USA Today earlier, saying that they knew the media was going to blow it up. If you know something is just going to blow up into a negative circus, then why do it? It's especially funny coming from Lebron who's playing like a vagina when the game's on the line. But hey whatever floats their boat.

Their dominance/success? haha. Just playing devil's advocate here.

I mean was this a serious question? Why do people hate the Yankees, Patriots, etc?

Lebron actually ran the other direction on this one. I think most of those comments came from Dwade. Lebron said he just wanted to focus on the remainder of the series

Exactly. I would say whoever his "handlers" are need to muzzle him but I have a feeling that they are just as bad.

To me it just doesn't seem like he is in touch with reality a lot of times. He isn't able to step back and think about the consequences of his actions and how the general public will react to things. He isn't very PR savvy sometimes.

Which is extremely odd because this Decision thing seems to have sent him into a downward spiral (as far as dumb comments, actions, etc). It seems, to me, that when he was in Cleveland, he seemed to say all the right things, most of the time. Now it just seems like everything that comes out of his mouth makes you scratch your head. The biggest "dumb" thing I can recall him saying in Cleveland was the "these fans have been spoiled by my play" comment (or something to that effect).

There's the comments. Wade just comes off as a prick, so whatever. But Lebron claiming there's bigger issues -- exactly, so why do it? I don't really have a problem with what they did because they've been fucking each other in the ass for months so why stop now. It's their dumb 'pass the buck' defense that's annoying and a waste.

As for the Bulls, it's hard to lump them into the same category as the Patriots and especially Yankees. The Yankees garner so much hate because they exploit that there's no salary cap better than any other team does. And a lot of people just hated Bellichick and Tom Brady. I think it also has to do with a change in the times. The media (cough ESPN) is so overwhelmingly in your face with the Yankees, Patriots, Heat, Tiger, Favre (use to anyways), that it becomes easy to hate teams and players. That's just my opinion anyways.

dwyane wade has done a complete 180 this year. i don't know if it's sharing the stage with lebron, the hate focused on the heat (which they caused), or something else but dwyane has turned into a real dbag

It is funny how the world hangs on to every little thing they do. We're in the finals and we're talking about a cough? Not a game, not a game, we're talking about a cough. That's hardly news fellas. As for the game-- I haven't seen anything to make me think LBJ will be a force in the 4th scoring and when he isn't, they're losing. Everything I'm seeing is telling me they're going to lose. But I'll take them to win 92-89. Pretty much because I honestly don't put it past Stern to give a little incentive for their to be a game 7. The crew tonight is Steve Javie, Derrick Stafford, and Scott Foster. Out of all the main referees in the playoffs, those 3 are the highest home team win % refs. However, Stafford actually favors the away team when he's just part of the crew seeing as Javie is the main tonight.

I'd really like Stern to answer questions about refs in general, but specifically Joey Crawford and how he keeps getting big playoff games. Why aren't refs ever made available to the media? They look at film and know their mistakes, I think they should have to answer some questions.

Referees are 100% off limits. Not necessarily these finals...but no other sport do they "seem" to give the home team the borderline calls. Of course there are the wonderful looking away at the rules...the 4 step no travel call perfected by Wade, Kobe, LeBron...that's kinda like a pitcher throwing the ball into the back screen and the ump calling it a strike because Roy Halladay threw it.

You really think that would be productive? Please remember most "fans" are not rational thinkers and already have a bias before given facts (good or bad).

Basketball is the most subjective sport to officiate. The judgement is is a lot less defined. Basketball officials shirts are grey; football officials wear black and white, it is or it is not on the field.
