And he was one of the jackasses showing LBJ "love" in that December meeting.

When will these guys get it? James has gone out of his way ( a classless one at that) three or four times to verbally throw his former teammates under the bus and say "they're shit/weren't good enough." And people say CLEVELAND fans need to "let it go?" I think Lebron needs to "let it go" too. Worry about your present/future, not what was.

I have no problem with them being friends either but for godsakes, call him, text him, e-mail him but DON'T friggin tweet it.

WKNR was saying today that they were going to send out a memo to all of the Cleveland sports teams to pass along to players saying "if you want to be friends with Lebron, fine, but don't TWEET praise, well wishes, etc." Just the wrong city to do it from if you're looking to endear yourself to the fan base.

Even if this happens, I could see them dumping Bosh. To me, he's an unnecessary piece in that puzzle. LeQuitter, Wade and some solid role players can still get them a few titles. I actually think they would've been better off, minus Bosh, if they'd done it that way from the beginning. That being said, RuPaul has stepped up her game recently in the playoffs and doesn't seem as soft.

For those of you that have been reading up on this proposal, let me ask you a question. What happens to the player salaries if teams are forced to get rid of certain players? We'll use Bosh as the example. If they Heat are "forced" to get rid of him in some form, what happens to his salary? How do teams get rid of the players-- do they trade them or simply cut them? Just curious.

I like it. I don't like the ideal of having te NBA dominated by big markets. Let's be real, there will only be a couple of teams with legit shots at a championship if the NBA stays as is.

Agreed. For as much as I don't like Stern, I think he was pissed when this Unholy Alliance took place in Miami. When they joined together it opened Pandora's Box.

Most professional leagues would ideally like some competitive balance, especially in leagues with a salary cap. A new labor agreement with a hard cap and, perhaps, a franchise tag could help smaller market teams have some competitive balance in keeping their own players. Only casual fans want to see two or three dominant teams with the rest being scrubs.

There is a cap already, its not like baseball where theres no cap and the big market teams can pay the players an ungodly amount of money. Each team can afford the cap, then the overhead is only 13 million so its not like you can go way over. Idk, id be surprised if this passes

But baseball is waaaaaay more balanced thanks to te minor league system and contract set up.

The NBA is the most unbalanced league as it is.

I disagree, it brings a ton of attention to the NBA and generates even more revenue for them and ratings. Whether you like the heat or hate them most people will watch to either support them to a victory or hate on them and wish them to lose, either way it generates a ton of interest and story lines. I can't remember a year where a team was more highly scrutinized than this year's Miami Heat team, the buzz around them all year was unreal.

Actually it does. Look at WS winners, division winners, and playoff appearances overthr last few years. Way more balanced than you would think.
