This duke team has obviously adjusted to life without Irving. Introducing a new player into the mix this late into the season will be interesting to watch. Irving's departure allowed Smith more opportunities and he has thrust himself into the NPOY conversation. Irving's departure led to more opportunities for Curry, Dawkins, and Thornton. We both know that players like Tywon Lawson and Kyrie Irving are immediately a positive addition to any team they are added to. There will be no "interesting development process" when Irving returns. Duke will instantly become the national title favorite. The more I hear of Kyrie's swift and auspicious course to full recovery, the more I begin to twinkle. So why not say so-and-so is saying......?? "I'm hearing" makes someone seem like they are trying to act more important than they are.
