I just read in the Dispatch that a 23 year old discharged Marine (not a former Marine, Mr. Blundo) is road marxhing (walking) to Arlington in an effort to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.

About four posts ago, I mentioned that I was heading there this weekend. Here'a hoping I pass him.

I think I'll save the Go ARMY! Beat Navy slogan for another day. ;)

While in DC I was tipped off to a program. The gentleman that organized the get-together is a retired Marine and is currently working with a training group. This particular group trains dogs (this cycle was all labs) to sniff out IEDs. With the cutbacks of personnel in Afghanistan, these dogs will need a home. I told him "Count me in!"

I'm hoping for a young male so I can rename him Chance. As in Chane Phelps, from "Taking Chance". If you haven't seen this HBO film, it might be a good one for you.
