In reading the recently released press announcements in regards to OHSAA perhaps taking a stance on the Public/Private battles that are constantly raging on the football forums, i had to stop and think....HOW will this affect wrestling? Is this "PLAN" across the board, all sports, all schools? Is this "PLAN" centered strictly on football?? It would be a harsh blow to the competitive aspect of wrestling depending on the outcome of this ordeal!

Thoughts???

With regards to wrestling and the recent addition of the OHSAA crowing team dual State Champions there should be no impact at the individual level since there will no longer be a team champions crowned at the individual meet. The same concerns and arguments could be made at the team level as is made for football.

With the team championship being eliminated from the individual meet I would like to see no divisions at all and a 32 man bracket. What's the point of multiple divisions for an individual tournament?? The public private issue is irrelevant in the individual tourny. Does it really matter where a kid attends school?

The same issues and arguments apply to the team championship as in football
