Anyone else surprised to see Pressley move ahead of Settles? Until it happens on the mat, in my mind, Settles is the one to beat and deserves to be #1. No doubt Pressley has improved from last season and will figure in the mix to make it to the Schott. But Settles has been there....done that.

I'll be honest, I was more surprised by 215. Redman (LV) is a HAMMER!!! Not that the other two aren't, but...
I ain't hatin', just statin'.

Totally agree with you, i have a reliable source that says settles is the real deal this year. Very tough kid, got a lot bigger from last year too. I think settles goes number 1 spot, plus i think he beats pressley by 5 or more.

I'd have a few different:
140- Straight over Santos
189- Harble over Zang
215 Redman over Jackson
285- Settles over Pressley

You must really hate Bishop Hartley if your sayin that both Jackson and Zang are going to lose to these people im wondering if you even seen them wrestle this year, the answer is probably not they are soo much better then last year I couuld understand Redman beating Jackson maybe only cause Redman was the District Champ last year but saying Harble beating Zang is just ridiculous maybe you need to study the wrestler before you predict stuff.

I have seen all aforementioned wrestlers this year. Maybe Zang had an off night when I saw him, but I would take Harble over him. Redman/Jackson is just my opinion... I guess Harble beating Liedecker(Teays Valley) twice (I think, I could be wrong) means nothing huh????

Im guessing the off night Zang had was at the Amanda Clearcreek dual and yes that was an off night for Zang. Liedecker is a good wrestler but he is not good enough as you can say with the upper I think he was much better when he wrestled 145 his freshman year

The Harble kid is tough. I would definetly take him over Zang. Leidecker is not a slouch! How can you say he is not so good with the upper weights. The young man placed top 6 at Brecksville, one of the toughest tournaments in the nation, and had one of the toughest brackets at 189! So I disagree with that. Was he smoother on his feet as a light guy, oh yea, but what do you think he did for years with Maron???? Alot of Greco> He can holld his own. but different topic differents thread!
HARBLE OVER ZANG!

I agree that Harble is tough and he beats Zang. Also Liedecker is good and was better at the lowers weights...but give him some time. As far as Brecksville as one of the toughest tournaments in the nation..NO...maybe years ago. I look at the weight classes top to bottom and am not overly impressed. Medina was much better. Ironman..nuff said. I believe Top Gun is a way stronger tounament as well. I thought it compared with the GMVWA. But the GWMVA seemed a bit tougher. Just my opinion. I know this went a little off topic but felt it needed to be said.

I strongly disagree!
Ironman is the best end of story.
After that Brecksville and Medina are pretty close.
Brecksville had 80+ returning SQ while Medina had 70+ and GMVWA only 30+
I'm not sure what Top Gun has. I know its a tough tourney so Im not going to knock it regardless if I think Breck and MIT are better.

No one can argue Iron Man at the top. Medina and Brecksville are comparable in my eyes.....some weights were tougher at one place and vice versa at the other. For the D3 and D2 guys, these events were in some/most cases comparable to the state tourney (or tougher). GMVWA can hang its hat on Graham being there, but other than than that it falls off pretty quickly. I don't know enough about Top Gun to comment......

Nevermind, Harble over Zang, after watching the Blankenship and Zang match Blankenship just absolutely killed Zang on his feet and on the mat. I dont think Zang is a good 189 pounder he would be better at 171.

I wouldn't beat Zang up over that one. Blankenship is on a tear so far this season, don't think he has had a close one yet. He is in another league from the other kids in the area at this weight. He could very well be on top of the podium in the last weekend of febuary (wow that feels wierd to say).

Blankenship is tough! Is Houston Evans @ 189? Or the McIntosh kid from Trace?
