Since no one else is talking about it then I’ll get it started. What’s up with Columbus City League wrestling this year? Did all of the DQ’s graduate last year I know the 2 SQ’s did but what about everyone else returning this year because not one CCL kid was in the CD All-Star meet. So where there some kid nominated but didn’t get voted in? The season opens this weekend and no talk about CCL at all so what’s the league looking like this year and where is everyone opening up at? Could someone please post the league duals teams and locations I didn’t write them all down. I know that Briggs opens up at Franklin Heights and West is at HT.

I saw Kenley wrestle at the Westerville North tournament after the season in April, I think that was the date. He looked big and appeared to be training in the off-season so he might be much improved.

i wrestled him at that tournament, he will be tough this season.

This is going to be a rough year for the city. Most teams are very young.

TechFall last week Africentric had some kids at alpha testing so Phil is getting the program started up again over there. I don’t know what the total numbers are looking like but I know that all 16 CCL schools have coaches in place and are fielding a team.

When is the city league tourny? Better yet by any chance does anyone know the closest tourny northland will be wrestling in?

Northland just wrestled in the ready winter classic, dont know when they will be around again. the city tourny is at south on feb 12th and 13th i think...

Why no mention of the Brookhaven kids? A few there who might suprise.

Congrats to the West Cowboys on their 37-36 win over a very tough Centennial squad and a blowout of Independence. I think they showed that they are right in the mix this year when firing on all cylinders.

Centennial owns a win over Marion Franklin, while Whetstone owns a win over West. I see four teams with a legit shot to win it come early February! I hope it is the Buff and Brown!

With a one day tournament as a new format, it changes some things and adds an X factor.

the centennial west dual was awesome to watch. both teams fought extremely hard with it coming down to last match. both teams were also missing 2-3 guys and will hopefully be healthy come tourny time.

Kenley is pretty tough, he will be a force at cities and on the district level.
