Yeah, the hit on Jackson shouldn't even have been penalized. Since when is catching the ball and taking a step defenseless? Those clueless refs.

Eliminated the wedge would be a better strategy. At least to start.

might as well just make it the NFFL, or the NTHTFL, the National Flag Footbal League or the National Two Hand Touch Football League at this point

Im pretty sure they did something about locking arms or something. I know it was altered, but I dont know if its completely gone. Maybe the number of people allowed was reduced.

2 person wedge only. I saw a flag thrown last week or the week before because there were 3 people in the wedge.

Just heard on the radio that one owner will bring up after this season to do away with fumbles. Once the ball is fumbled the play is dead.

What a bunch of douchebags this league is run by. Just another reason to NOT watch the NFL and watch high school/college football. A bunch of overpaid clowns that can't even play real football. I wish I could bring back Jack Tatum in his prime in today's NFL for about 2 seasons, then we'd see who was really a good offensive player and who was just there to collect their paycheck and hope their vagina doesn't get ripped in half. My guess is you'd still have about 15 players left.

DOES NO ONE REALIZE NO ONE WAS SERIOUSLY HURT in the Eagles/Falcons game?? They both got up right? Then shut the FUCK up and play football. Seriously, some of you need to go back to watching soccer (like Goodell, for instance) and keep your little fairy asses out of a mans game.

Football will look like the WWE here in about 10-15 years. All pomp and entertainment and absolutely nothing real about it. Can't wait to see how many yard Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson can rush for when no one's allowed to tackle them. What a bunch of pussies.

You dont think so? What is going to happen when coaches tell their players to stay down after a big hit to try and get the other player ejected. Sounds like the WWE to me.

Chill the fuck out meathead, you're over-exaggerating to the point of stupidity. Go lift some weights for a few minutes, check yourself out in the mirror, then come back to the discussion with something meaningful to say other than "THIS IS LIKE SOCCER!!!@@!!"

I hate the NFL, but doing away with the wedge isn't the worst idea in the world. I fucked my neck up running those, those collisions are just too rough in my opinion.

People do understand that the players HATE this as much as everybody else right?

It's BS and Roger Goodell could seemingly do the unthinkable, kill the NFL's popularity.

Obviously, concussions and head/neck injuries are serious matters, but it's also one of the risks. They've done a great job of not allowing players with concussion-like symptoms to not play until cleared, but really, that's the best thing you can do.

That's what they get for increasing the size, speed, and strength of the players they are paying to play the game of football.

Back in the 60's-70's there were head injuries of course, but not like today because those guys playing were just everyday guys, who were good at football, not 6'4 270 lb linebackers who run a 4.4 40 looking to take your head off.
