I beg you to prove to me you're not as unintelligent in real life as you are here. They're 2-0 versus teams that could be considered legit playoff contenders (both are 1-1 with blowouts against non-Steeler opponents). 25th in offense? That happens when the guys who were considered your 3/4 QBs have taken every snap. 7th in defense (yardage only...after NO gave up 22 tonight, Steelers are tied for first in points allowed...which matters a hell of a lot more than yards allowed)? Woo-fucking-hoo...

If you want to stir the pot, at least come up with something resembling an intelligent argument. With that post, you did nothing but make me empathize with various fans of other teams who have to deal with Capone/Modell's "U SUK HAHAHAHHAAA" style of trolling. No intelligence...just moronic noise. Carry on, lad...I'll enjoy openly ridiculing your stupidity.

Steelers Defense
Rank 6th in Total Yards.
Rank T-1st in PPG
Rank 4th against the run
Have 8 Forced Turnovers

Gave up 9 Points to Atlanta who score 41 the next week.
Held the Titans to 11 points who scored 38 the week before.

Also Stopped Chris Johnson 100 yard rushing streak at 12.

Wait till Big Ben comes back I promise the offense will start clicking.

According to radio reports, Leftwich has been practicing this week. They need to evaluate his injury today and see if he can go. Don't be surprised to see him start Sunday.

Batch has been named the starter for Sunday.

I just hope Leftwich is healthy enough to play if Batch gets hurt because that's a very realistic possibility.

Don't mind Footie. He is the Capone of Brown's fans, he just doesn't post as much. Trust me....he isn't THAT stupid. Its an act.

When I always mention the term "typical Cleveland fan"......thats him.

Radio reports said Leftwich is still not 100%. If Batch goes down, I'd rather have a 100% fit Randle El at QB than Leftwich. Randle El BTW says he ready to start if called upon, lol.

I think Randle El of five years ago would be productive in that role, not sure about now.

Ward passed for 413 yards in the Peach Bowl, although that was 1995. Tomlin joked about that in his press conference.

I need to apologize for posting an inaccurate statistic. Pittsburgh ranks 29th offensively this year....and not 25th. Sure looks like a Super bowl team to me. All they need is 7 turnovers a game and a 99 yard kickoff return every week....and then hello Super Bowl.

If they make a run it will be because of their nasty defense. I know you aren't familiar with one of those, but a solid D can take you a long way.

There's only been two weeks and I don't think anyone stated that the Steelers are going to win the Super Bowl based on just two games.

Right now there's no way to get an accurate evaluation of the team anyway because of Ben being out.

But it's silly to think they can't be one of the contending teams. They just won it two years ago and last year they went 9-7 with Polamalu and Aaron Smith out most of the year.

If they stay relatively healthy they should compete for a playoff spot.

Imagine if Cleveland was solely relying on McCoy and Ratliff to run their offense, as opposed to...uhhh...no, wait...bad example...the results would likely be about the same. That's the problem. You just are incapable of comprehending how a team's offense can struggle because their upper-tier NFL quarterback is out of action for a certain amount of time. Any time your team's starting QB is out, you rejoice because the back-up has to be better, doesn't he?

let's just talk defense for a moment

the Steelers had the best all-around defense in 2008, nearly tops in every major category

now that doesn't mean they're the best in 2010, a lot can change in two years, I do think the Jets and Ravens are up there, some other teams like the Packers and maybe even the Vikings, Bengals, etc.

but the Steelers are still in the discussion when they're not missing Troy Polamalu and Aaron Smith, two of the cornerstone players

you also have to account for the fact that the Steelers players have won championships and been in more big games and clutch situations than some others who just have some decent rankings at the present time

and besides all that, they're just fun to watch play when they're all in there flying around, delivering big hits, intercepting passes, it's just good football

the performance last week was pretty powerful when you consider that Chris Johnson was like the hottest offensive player in the NFL, 12 straight 100-yard games, and he got beat down, that alone would've been impressive but they also got after the quarterback, forced seven turnovers and helped win a tough game on the road with basically no offensive support

This start and this QB situation should make Ben like the shithead that he is. I hope his teammates don't carry any grudges.

Damn good half for Batch, as barring a complete defensive meltdown, he led the team to putting away TB by halftime. Likely being 3-0 despite not having Roethlisberger...not what I'd expect, but definitely no complaints. Great way to start the season.

The defense has been incredible. 2 TD's given up in the 1st 3 games and both in junk time. That's fan-fucking-tastic.
