Oak Harbor always has a good tournout. I didn't see that one listed on the top 20. Hmmmmm. I also didn't look to deep into the lake tourney to see that it was novice. I love the selection! Gonna depend on the boy.

Big Bash - This is Indiana I take it..

We are from michigan, but going to visit in the Pittsburgh area this weekend. The kid wants to start his season, and I told him I was good with it. So, we are either headed outside Pittsburgh to the Kiski Open in Leechburg, or heading back to Cleveland to Rocky River. I can't get the rest resolved in time to go to Padua, since we would have to turn in weights tonight. Sucks to be me.

Guess we will never know!
I never have a problem letting people I know , know where we are wrestling, but it gets a little creepy when people who you don't know ask where your kid is going...:-/ Any way you look at it , I am always trying to get better matches for the boy! We are going to Lutheran West and Twinsburg.
Hope to see a great turn out at both.

Went to the Padua tournament today. We have not been there for a couple of years. Man has that tournament lost its luster. For one, i do not like the tournaments where you do not have to weigh in. Second, two 1.5 minute periods for the championship rounds which is not bad but the consey rounds were only two 1 minute periods. You better score first with 2 minutes of wrestling or you might not have another chance with the stalling and stalemates. The brackets were smaller - seemed a bit chaotic at times. Will have to think long and hard about going back to this one.

Lutheran west was nice! 350 kids. Age brackets were staged at different times. Competition was tuff! Thanks Coach Ressler! Parents drove upword of 3 hours to get to this tournament.ryan Thomas and Tony Decesar wrestled first round in a round robin. Wow , what a match! Great job both boys. I love that you get this level of competition at an open tournament! We will be back next year!

Thought you were going to be there? Not that I would know who you are, to say Hi. You ask a lot of questions and answer non. Hmmmmm. :dodgy:
The only person I saw at both had a boy that didn't even wrestle in the Twinsburg tourney " TD " Wonder what happened to him on Sunday?
I can say that the 11-12 80# bracket looked like this

1st place LJ Bently 2-0 over
2nd place Mason Daugherty
3rd place Aaron James (TF ?)
4th place don't know.

11-12 75#
1st place Josh Kain
Didn't recognize any of the other 4 kids in this bracket.

9-10 90 #
1st place David Tucek
2nd place Kid from Channel
I'm sure by Wednesday John will have the results posted on top 20 site.

We went to the Kiski Area Open tournament in PA to find out it was a warmup for many of the kids who were headed to a bigger tournament in State College on Sunday. HS certified refs, the competition was good, even in the consy brackets. I didn't like the consy times tho, dropping from 3 x 1:30 periods to a :30-1-1 format.

What I did like was that they ran a seperate junior high division... The 11-12 age division was only for those in elementary. My just turned 12 year old 7th grader had to wrestle the MS division, which was a little tougher, and he was the bottom of the age group as a 12 year old. He took third and learned something along the way in his loss.
