I find it amusing that the Cardinals got into another hissy fit with the National this weekend...'Bitches' was the perfect word.

I know Phillips shit his pants and looked foolish for saying that publicly, but you can't tell me he was wrong.

I was going to mention this earlier. They got their panties in a bunch because Nyjer Morgan bumped the catcher at home plate, then they threw another tantrum when Drew Storen threw behind Matt Holliday today WITH the lead, IN THE 9TH. LaRussa says something to the effect of "If that wasn't intentional, the guy doesn't have enough control over his stuff to be a major leaguer." Maybe not word for word that way, but that was the gist of it....to me it just sounded like waaaaahhhhh wahhhhhhhh! Oh and by the way, Drew Storen proceeded to strikeout Albert Pujols.

They are right about Morgan though. WTF was that cheap shot on Molina all about? That was pretty classless imo.

It wasn't Molina, it was the backup catcher. From what I could tell, it seemed like he thought there was gonna be a play at the plate maybe and was going in to maybe try and drill him....maybe not. But thats what I took it as, especially considering there was no bad blood previously.

The real question is, why do the Cardinals continue to find themselves in the middle of bullshit like this? I think they need to look at themselves and maybe check why teams despise them so much (and I don't think it has anything to do with winning)

"I can't really explain it. We've been terrible against bad teams all year." -Adam Wainwright

Atta boy Adam! No wonder these shitty teams keep beating you, you have absolutely no respect for them.

I don't care what team you root for, for anyone to think the shot was anything other than cheap is a fucking idiot.

The catcher standing upright 1.5 steps away from the plate just looking at the play, not anywhere even conceivably close to where a catcher would be if there's even a chance at the plate.

It was a completely dirty and pointless play.

Yeah, and the Reds haven't won a single game since you decided to inform us all they had no shot at winning the division.

Tell us, oh great radio douchebag what to think and do next..

I haven't seen the video, so I can't comment on the hit. I will say that I don't feel bad or sorry for the catcher, or the Cardinals, regardless of the intent.

We'll see whose in first at the end of the season.

Like you so clearly pointed out, there's a lot of time left.

I also said I have no dog in the fight.

Oh god another redneck idiot.

I never said the reds didn't have a shot, I said I believe the Cardinals will win the division.

If you interpret that as meaning the Reds have no shot, then your mental processing needs a big time adjustment.

Morgan was trying to be the second guy to score on the play. The back-up catcher fro St. Louis was standing about 2 feet up the line towards first completely limp (ie, not even looking to receive a throw from anyone) and Morgan decided to veer off course and hit him in the back. It is hilarious because it actually took him far enough away from the plate that he missed the plate on his slide/fall and Pudge had to push him back so he could tough home. Of course, you cant get help like that, so he was called out. Nats won like 15-6 anyway.

lhslep,

Whats your excuse for LaRussa acting like a little bitch when Storen threw behind Holliday? On what planet would a closer want to intentionally throw at a batter when they're only up by 2 in the 9th?

YOU REDS FANS ARE SOOOOO GAY ABOUT HOW DEFENSIVE YOU GET.

Who's defending the Cardinals here? Why do you think because I think the Cardinals are going to win that I like them? Or that I don't think they're bitches?

I wholeheartedly agree with BP here. La Russa has turned that team into a bunch of bitches. What happened the other night was also indefensible, and as indefensible as Morgans shove.

So if he runs him over and injures him its dirty, but since that didn't happen, it's only somewhat dirty?

LOL @ that logic.

Thats the first time Ive seen the play all the way through from different angles. Still dont understand what Morgan was thinking, but it wasnt as bad as I originally remembered. The catcher did squat for a split second and didnt move away from home plate till the end. But again, that happens hundreds of times a season an the players just run normal,

LOL at you thinking there is no difference between running someone over and running into someone. Are you really that dumb?

He was running into the catcher with the intent on knocking him over, but he's a lot smaller and weaker than the catcher so it didn't knock him over.

I was stating that it was dirty no matter what because of the intent.

Your rebuttal has absolutely nothing to do with the point I was making. Nice try.

Lol it would not be hard AT ALL to knock someone over running at full speed when the person isn't expecting it.I don't care how much bigger the guy is.

If Morgan wanted to knock him over, he would have. Their respective sizes has absolutely no relevance here. Morgan isn't a toddler with a 2 mph top speed.

I believe the takeaway from this is that everyone in MLB hates the Cardinals, even the normally timid and harmless Nationals.
