After Heisey stopped on his faint attemp on the pitch that got away, why didn't he go back to 2nd to make it a longer throw for the catcher? Did he look and see Votto was coming to 2nd , and that stopped him from that? What a critical mistake!

Nice K Jay. Better than a flyball though, he doesn't have to get tired jogging to first.

Reds had the situation they wanted, but let it get away. The Cubs in all their ineptness at scoring didn't have an inning that bad where they had 3 hits and didn't score!

How long has it been since Bruce hit one to the left of 2nd base?

Did the Cubs throw that ball into CF on purpose to allow Nix to go to 3rd. My theory is that they knew Cabrera is so focused on RBIs that he'd make an out to get the RBI, and they were willing to trade a run for the first out of the inning in that situation.

Very effective double switch by Pinella to get Colvin in LF just when needed to run down Heisey's drive down the LF line to end the inning.

Bruce tried LF in the 9th, but popped it up!

Well that was a game to forget for Heisey and Bruce. Can't win em all.

Tomorrow should be interesting. I would think either Bruce or Votto will get the day off.

Exactly. Brush it off and go get 'em tomorrow. It's marathon not a sprint

Reds 4-3 after blowout wins...but credit must be given to the Cubs.
