Bengals RB Benson arrested, charged with assault in Austin
Associated Press

AUSTIN, Texas -- Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault related to a May 30 incident.

An Austin police spokeswoman says Benson was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Travis County jail where he later posted bail and was released. She could not immediately provide more details on the incident.

The Austin-American Statesman reported that Benson allegedly punched an employee of a downtown bar.

The arrest is just the latest brush with the law for Benson.

In 2008, he was arrested twice in a month on alcohol charges. While in college at the University of Texas, he pleaded no contest to a charge of criminal trespassing for forcing his way into an apartment to find a television he said was stolen from him.

God damn, this is not good. This might save the Bengals some cash though, didn't he want a big extension?

Apparently Ced is bringing race into the discussion as well now. Apparently he was being picked on by "some white boys". Sounds like some posters on this board.
