I do believe he once left JJ Huddle as well, and soon returned.

I expect we'll see him around July 8th or so..

I never really had a problem with him, EXCEPT that he never admitted to being wrong.. He would spin and spin and spin some more...

Back on topic for a moment, and take this for what it's worth, but some people expect Brian Shaw to be announced as Cavs head coach tomorrow.

Not sure if those are the same people who said Izzo would be accepting the Cavs job, but whatever...

He's never wrong. He's that type of person. He's like middle east people... can't be wrong, will argue to the death, until the point that the initial point is forgotten. If you can comprehend this.. it's actually worse in real life. Crazy, huh? If this doesn't get him back, I don't know what will. Maybe LBJ doing PlayGirl.

Although I disgree with some of the Cavs fans in regards to their current roster situation and future potential, most on here I respect because they are passionate and try to support their arguments. SQ was just annoying and would say one dumb thing after another and have no basis for it.

So do the Cavs move forward with Shaw today?

Windy just said Shaw is calling people to try and get a staff together, sounds like the deal could be finalized today/tonight.

Not only assistants, but assistants with knowledge of how to run the triangle or have had experience with the triangle.

I like the word on Shaw...

Hard, but fair.. Demands players put forth effort on both ends.

And he is the type that LeBron wants.

Winner on both ends as a player and coach.

Windy also noted that Shaw is pretty good on the defensive end coaching wise too.

Positive news from Cleveland on the eve of the biggest day in NBA FA history. Cavs closing in on coach and talking trades.

Windy just said he will predict Shaw will be back in town very soon, will be back here for a while and will meet with LeBron within the next 2-5 days...

Basically: Windy is saying it's all but done that Shaw will be next coach...

I believe he was implying that after Shaw signed the contract he would meet with LeBron along with the rest of the FO.

Shaw will be the coach soon and therefore would be able to meet with LeBron.

Ok, that makes more sense..

At first I read it thinking it meant Shaw would be back to talk to LeBron before taking the job, but after re-reading it, your implications sound correct.

Windy giving out some crazy information tonight.

-Windy feels the cavs will definitely get a starter in the FA

-Cavs will do at least 1 S&T

-thinks its likely shaq will be in a S&T...thinks there has already been talks

Shaw has withdrawn his name from consideration, Byron Scott in the driver's seat.

I would have to think Buss has indicated to him the Lakers job is his whenever Phil leaves (this year or next).

Wow, Windy did say that Cleveland had finalists and possibly Scott was bluffing earlier.

Either way I'd like Shaw but Scott will do as he is one of the major names still left. I don't like his overall resume but hopefully with the talent that could be surrounded he'll be alright. Plus, he won as a player and was okay as a coach just like LeBron wanted.

Shaw said he didn't want to hold up anything and he wouldn't be able to make the timeline by the Cavaliers.

I agree, I don't like that but he did have some solid seasons.

Just like Rivers, you put immense talent around him and that team will win.

Windy: The spinning is in full force. It was Brian Shaw's side that said he was going to be coach yesterday. Cavs never got there, were close.

Windy: #Cavs have moved down road with Byron Scott but no deal yet. With free agency calls to make at midnight, might not get done tonight.
