That wasnt even fun to watch lol. After so many perfect games (near perfect games) I dont get excited about no-nos as much.

I can't believe Hinch left him in there... I know you don't mess with a no hitter, but after like 120 pitches and so many walks I might have considered lifting him, eventhough the D'Backs bullpen gets bombed a bunch.

I wonder if the Rays are the 1st team in MLB history to have a perfect game and a no-hitter thrown against them in the same year?

I've said this for years, the pitch count is bullshit.

Good for the coach for leaving him in to finish what he started. A no hitter is a no hitter, regardless of the number of walks.

Jackson threw a ton of pitches last year in Detroit so this is of no surprise. The 8 walks are but you don't take a guy out with a no hitter, big no no and AJ Hinch did a great job of trusting his guy and leaving him out to get the No Hitter.

I agree, jughead. I'm a little surprised at Darby's response about considering taking him out. But, I understand. Throw the ball and git 'er done.

I understand why you're suprised and I'm also a little skeptical about pitch counts, but somewhere in my mind as a manager i'm thinking about wanting the game and a W more than the no-hitter. Again, congrats to him for throwing one, he earned it, but especially when your season is going the way Arizona's is, you want a W.

Had the same thing happen my sophmore year of HS, had a no-no going thru 5 innings and got lifted for a pitch count. Luckily the guy came in behind me and finished off the final 2 innings for a combined no-no
