Airport screeners taking part in a training session discover one of their co-workers didn't measure up. They made fun of him and he lost it and beat the hell out of one of his co-workers.

So if any of you have to walk through one of these x-ray machines and the screeners start chuckling you, appearently don't measure up.
For Airport Security, Size Matters
Cops: New high-tech screener triggered fight over manhood insult
MAY 6--A Transportation Security Administration screener is facing an assault rap after he allegedly beat a co-worker who joked about the size of the man's genitalia after he walked through a security scanner. The May 4 confrontation involved Rolando Negrin, 44, and other TSA employees who had previously taken part in a training session at Miami International Airport, according to the below Miami-Dade Police Department reports. Negrin, pictured in the mug shot at right, and his co-workers had been training with new "whole body image" machines--the controversial kind that provide very revealing images of a traveler--when Negrin walked through the scanner. "The X-ray revealed that [Negrin] has a small penis and co-workers made fun of him on a daily basis," reported cops. Following his arrest, Negrin told police that he "could not take the jokes anymore and lost his mind." After work Tuesday evening, Negrin confronted fellow TSA screener Hugo Osorno in an airport parking lot. Negrin wanted to "resolve a problem," and get Osorno, 34, to "finally respect him." Instead, Negrin allegedly pulled out a police baton and began striking Osorno, while demanding an apology. A witness told cops that Negrin told Osorno, in Spanish, "Get on your knees or I will kill you and you better apologize." When Negrin, wearing his TSA uniform, arrived for work yesterday, he was arrested on an aggravated battery count and booked into the Miami-Dade lockup. Osorno, police reported, suffered "bruises and abrasions on his back and arms" during the attack

I'm so glad we let the TSA check out everyone's junk. Good use of our money.

I worked for TSA for three years after graduating college, and it was the longest and worst three years of my life!!!! Trust me, something bad will happen again as far as a bomb, etc... They are very poorly trained, very poorly paid, and when I was there, pretty much everyone was trying to find another job. I ended up just quitting without another job because it sucked so much ass.

That doesn't really surprise me at all. I figured the government would be shafting the people they expect to keep planes safe. I'm glad I don't ever fly.

We had a program called Threat Image Detecting, where every so often, the X-ray machine would put a fake image in a bag, and you would have to identify it. Had to get 70 percent right or you went through remedial training. Over half of the screeners in Columbus went through remedial training. Don't you feel much safer now?? ;)

That doesn't surprise me at all.

Traveling for work I can't tell you how many times I had to explain what an item was. Most of the time it wasn't something that elaborate.

I wish I was making this up...

I had to explain what an XBox 360 was.

I had to explain what a digital camera was (years ago when they weren't that common).

The kicker was this...

I had to explain that the rectangular electronic device the TSA agent was holding up was a calculator.

When I worked for them, I applied for a Border Patrol job in January of 2005, and finally got a packet in the mail in November :) Actually have applied to three jobs with them in the last week, but MUCH better money and a different job. Let me know what happens, what airport did you apply for?
