I'm getting ready to plant a tree (Arapaho Crape Myrtle) and it says "Be sure to plant in full sun, or the bright red blooms may fade."

The place that we've picked to plant this thing is in the sun from sunrise (7 am) until about 2 hours before sunset (5-6 pm).

Is this enough sun to constitute "full sunlight"?????

Yes, full sun is 6-8 hours per day, if it's getting 10-11 that's plenty.

I would have answered this question (because of whom it was directed towards in the title)...however, due to recent ignorant events in my gardening experience...I'll pass.

i thought so because even in winter it will be getting like 6-7 hrs.

Learn something new every day I guess... I always thought that meant "Don't plant it on cloudy days or at night!"

The tree looks great. I've planted 4 trees in my life and 2 of them died. I hope this frigger takes off.

Keep it watered for the first month and hopefully it will grow. Set your hose down at the base of the tree and let the water trickle out for 20-30 minutes twice a week. That will help the roots to develop deep into the soil. Good luck!
