Last night our Massillon Tigers let a felon start. He was released from jail on Friday morning, so why should there be an outcry from the public? Do you think that any of the voters will hold this against us as we try to win out 10th national championship?

Playing on Thursday put us at a huge disadvantage. We bail our players out of prison on Friday mornings.

National championship?  Did I travel through time to 1943 and just didn't realize it?  Massillon in a runner-up middle size school division in Ohio.  They are not known nor relevant on the national scene.

We didn't win the 1943 national championship or any during WWII. The Massillon boys were busy leading the Allies to victory. It most likely cost us 4 national championships, but that is what heros do. Our boys are right up there with Ted Williams and Bob Feller who sacrificed athletically to save the world.

I thought this would be the year for Massillon to get that monkey of the back. I’m actually sorry they lost.
