Or, to make it a little more informative and interesting, what is the best or most notable thing about states you've spent any time in?

States I’ve Lived In:

Ohio - We all know this one

West Virginia - Loved Pocahontas County also SnowShoe was a cool place to visit even in the summer. Great area to white water raft and lots of fun places to cliff jump.

Kansas - Lawrence Kansas was a really fun college town even for young adults and KC was great.

Texas - Absolutely loved North Dallas. There was a ton of good restaurants and things to do on the weekends. Also enjoyed visiting Waco but was not a fan of Houston or Austin.

Places I’ve spent a lot of time.

Kentucky - Lake Cumberland area is nice. I enjoy Louisville which is an underrated foodie city. Also visiting all the distilleries is fun. We will probably live here a few months this year.

Tennessee - Nashville is a top 3 city for me in the US. There is so much to do and great places to eat. We will move here by the end of the year. The Smokey Mountains are also beautiful and Bonnaroo is legendary.

New York - Our friends live in NYC expensive but fun. I’m not sure I would want to live there and have to deal with the subway all the time.

Nevada - I’ve probably been to Vegas over 30 times at this point. Love the city but it is gradually getting more and more expensive if you don’t have comps. Also some of my favorite places have closed recently so that’s a bummer.

If I had to pick a state as my favorite I would probably go Tennessee over Texas because Tennessee is closer to family here in Ohio.

I’ve been to all of the continental 48, only Hawaii and Alaska left to go.

Pure scenery nothing compares to Montana and Utah.

Too lazy to rank them in order, but I can put them in piles of "Could I live there long term?":

Yes: OH, MI, WI, VT, PA, MN

Maybe: TN, NY

No: MO, AZ, ME, NH, WV, KY, CT, MA, CO, IN, IL, IA, VA, DC

Hell no: ND, FL, TX, SD, KS, AZ, GA

Ohio is obviously the GOAT.

Northern Minnesota is elite and is easily my favorite place to visit.

I accidentally omitted MN from my list. It's been pleasant the times I've visited. I would live there.

Went to Bemidji for work once. It was neat. Also International Falls. Not as neat.

Also, Green Mill has the best boneless wings I've ever had.

I lived in GA for 8 years and have lived in FL for 13. Wouldn't live in GA again, and don't plan on ever leaving FL.

I spent a summer in college in San Diego, La Jolla to be exact.  I could easily live there again.  Probably my favorite place.  I have also spent lots of time in the tampa, st. pete, treasure island area and could see myself there.

Biased of course, but it’s Colorado for me and it’s not really close.
