Pick 4 - which SNL member belong on Mt. Rushmore? Although I suspect there are only 2-3 spots are nearly unanimous.
A bit surprised that even with 16 I've probably missed a few deserving mention.

LMFAO I forgot about Bill Murray and Steve Martin!
No can do.
Kenan Thompson might deserve a spot based on longevity.
Farley, Eddie, Ferrell, Sandler for me. Ferrell and Sandler were the casts when I was watching this in formative years. But I also think the four of them have more of the most iconic skits/clips in the shows history.
Andy Sandberg though had a lasting impact not just in skits, but his Lonely Island digital shorts.

I totally intended to put him on, but got caught up in some other names. Besides being the longest, he's one of the few funny people left on the show.
I don't know anyone that's going to disagree with Belushi and Murphy. Farley also seems like a slamdunk, but that's a big group for that last spot or two (and he may have had a shorter run than some of the others).
Then you get into Sandler vs. Carvey vs. Hartman and Akroyd. I was never a fan of the majority of Will Ferrell's characters.
Norm Macdonald.
Mine are Eddie, Ferrell, Hartman and Farley.
If I had to think of one person on that list - the one who would get me to drop everything to go watch a skit if I knew he was going to be in it - it’d be Farley.
Another vote for Norm MacDonald
This is tough because there are so many but i will go Chevy Chase, Murphy, Akryod, Radner.

Same 4 for me

38 episodes disqualified Chevy for me. Not nearly enough for an All-Time list/Mt. Rushmore.
I think Norm might have been my favorite Weekend Update host, with Dennis Miller a close second. The rest were pretty forgettable.
Farley was probably my favorite. Though some of that Eddie Murphy stuff definitely makes it a debate.
Wasn't a huge fan of Spade, so my favorite "SNL duo" would probably be Belushi and Akroyd.
Wouldn't make the cut for Rushmore, but Rob Schneider deserves mention with this list.

To add, I don’t think Phil Hartman should be on the list. Adam Sandler annoys the hell out of me, yet he still deserves to be on the list. All are really good and there’s no way I can come up with a list of top four.

Hartman doesn't even make your list of 16?!? He's one of the giants of SNL. Jack Handy, numerous hilarious commercials, and more characters and skits than I can remember.
Him, Carvey and, shit, also forgot Kevin Nealon along with others was arguably it's heydey.
Hartman was on my list of top four!
Along with Murphy, Farley and Mike Myers solely because when I was young, Wayne's World skits were what I most looked forward to seeing.
Overall, this was a tough one. Brutal to cut some of those names out to determine a top four.
Just to be clear, I’m not saying Hartman wasn’t good…..I’m saying he doesn’t belong on this list. I remember when he was Captain Carl on PeeWee’s Playhouse.
And I’m wondering if I’m the only OC’er that watched the very first SNL show.

You are not.
I voted Belushi, Sandler, Murphy, and Akroyd. Hard to narrow it to 4. Mike Myers was probably my number 5.
But since my profile name and pic is an old Akroyd SNL character, he had to be on the list.
