Krampus

Any of you guys familiar with Krampus?

Personally until 2 days ago I’ve never heard of it. Apparently our city library was going to have an after hours picture shoot with  Krampus and it is all anyone is talking about. Library FB post had over 1,000 comments in a day. Of course everything has turned into left wing vs right wing.

I think it’s a dumb character but also is the Easter Bunny. Basically some Devil Santa like character that takes children who are bad and eats them or takes them to hell. Not for me or my kids but being at an elementary school I know damn well many of them would enjoy this photo shoot. They’ve been introduced to terrible videos on the interwebs, the dumbass cartoons and violent video games.

I really don’t care either way but lord it’s crazy here lol.

So the ultra-religious finally got revenge for the Jesus photo over the door at the middle school.

Oh yeah, pretty sure Heretic has posted multiple times about the film.

I heard about him for the first time about 3 days ago.  I assumed he had been featured in a movie or something.

I don't want to research this, but what is the red/blue argument being made?

I've known about Krampus for decades. Do I win?

Heard of the film, but haven't watched it, so might not have been me. Unless it was in passing, such as talking about having heard of it, or wishing the Krampus would take someone away.

My guess would be that it'd start with the overly religious dummies amongst the Rs getting up in arms because of the whole "pagan figure" aspect to things. You know, the same sorts that want to ban Harry Potter due to wizardry because the only fictional characters allowed to perform magic are the ones in THEIR book. As opposed to the dummies who want to cancel Harry because the author isn't pro-trans. Fuck...we do live in a stupid era.

This would be my guess, as well.

At least it's not Krampus in drag.

I went to a Krampus themed party at a night club last December. It was a freak show.

I mean basically every theme in a nightclub is likely to be fairly wild

It was a nightclub called Vinyl in downtown Denver with 4-5 different rooms all decked out in evil Xmas decor. People were very dressed up in scary Xmas attire, but REALLY dressed up...cosplay. Think trolls and shit. It was downright scary.

They had a Krampus and you could sit on his lap and take pics and he gave you presents, but the presents were garbage lol. Empty boxes of candy or Bluetooth headphones but in the box was rocks. 🤣
