What was your favorite toy as a kid? Also, do you still have the toy now that you are an adult?

I've slowly sold most of my old toys from childhood. My favorites were probably my Masters of the Universe and TMNT action figures.

I had one of those adjustable indoor basketball rims and base. Had it downstairs and set at about 4 1/2 feet and I would shoot and shoot and shoot. I could hit at will shots sll over the basement.
Could’ve went a lot of different ways on this topic…this seemed the best answer

I had all the matchbox from the late 70’s but would put them on top of a box or table snd ram them and the one that went off the table or box first lost….so they likely weren’t in great shape haha, but I had fun.

For the simplest of things…..a near golf ball size super ball. I would be in the basement about 20 feet away from the concrete wall and throw it to the wall and field it and have to quickly throw out “runner” at first. Had 4 blocks as a target. I would do that for “games” or until I drilled the dryer about 3x and mom put an end to my game.

So here is what brought me to make this thread. Let's start by me stating my favorite toy when I was a kid was a Pound Puppy. Call me soft if you want, but I remember my parents got it for me after my sister died, and I have always thought of her when I looked at it. Fast forward almost 40 years, and I still have it.
What made me think of the toy was Facebook. Like many of you that still have Facebook, I have "friends" on there you may have only met once or are connected through a mutual acquaintance or club that you are in. I have one such Facebook friend named Mike Bowling. We are connected because not only does he live locally, but I have interacted with him through Freemasonry. He posted something on Facebook the other day that got piqued my curiosity and sent me down a rabbit hole. At the end of the rabbit hole I discover that this guy I have a very loose connection with INVENTED FUCKING POUND PUPPIES!!!!! The man that created not only my favorite toy, but also one of my most prized possessions lives down the road from me. That's insane.
