Outside of Toledo, OH
By far the coldest overnight and morning so far. House temperature sitting at 60 degrees when I woke up this morning. Nobody has school in NWO. Just brutal cold. No snow. Just freakin cold.

It was -11 when I woke up right before 6am. We're up to a balmy -7.
Went out to start up my Jeep, my lady's car and turn on the garage heat for when I lift weights at lunch. It's so cold that I had to wait for my key fob to warm up inside the house because it froze and wouldn't work. Obvious it can be locked manually but I was already in the house.

Our sunroom (3 skylights and two sets of double sliding doors on east and south walls), which I'd say we can typically sit in 9-10 months of the year comfortably was 35 degrees according to my space heaters reading when I kicked that on this morning in there.
My wifes fob did the same thing the other night - first time I saw that happen.
We're up to -5 so it's tanning weather
Obviously not as cold as OH, but we had wind chills in the teens here in SC. We were all set to get some good snow like the folks in Louisiana, but specifically outside of Charleston there was a warm cone of air off the coast and all we got was a 2 inch accumulated layer of shit frozen snow/sleet mess. My kids haven’t seen snow yet so they were all excited, and it hadn’t snowed here since 2018, but kinda disappointing with the results. The roads are ice, bridges shut down, so everyone is basically stuck at home for at least today.

My company has had us working from home the last 3 days due to the cold. Will be going back in tomorrow.
Probably good for me in that the 2017 Jeep Renegade that I drive has this little issue....when it's super cold the door hinges freeze up and the door won't latch. I have to buy this white (silicone?) spray to put on the hinges to loosen them so it will latch. This first happened to me a few years ago when I was at work, 50 miles from home. I had to hold the passenger door closed as I drove down the road on my way home. Apparently this is an issue with that Jeep model.
2º here.
Here in Fernandina Beach, FL, we closed the schools for ice and snow. My daughter is ecstatic that in her senior year, she finally got a snow day.
Louisiana had a blizzard warning yesterday. Parts of Florida getting several inches of snow. Everyone getting fucked.
At least after this morning the temperatures will still suck but nothing like last night.
We got out of Atlanta before the snow hit. Stopped in Kentucky for the night and will get back into the bone chilling cold of Ohio today
Windchill -6 here in balmy southern Ohio
2 hour delay, most schools closed.
I did 2 separate 20 min walk/jogs yesterday….going out at 3:00 today for a good workout. Supposed to be 7 and sunny then
It’s up to 0 now where I’m at in Wayne County.
The Russians sent this by way of Siberia. Screw them.
Looking at my phone, it's 3 degrees! -15 after wind chill is factored in. So I might not be leaving my house today.
It's 4 right now up on my ridge. I hate it. I suppose the only good thing about these temp is it reduces the big population, which will be nice come spring/summer.
Lifted in my garage at noon and it was 5 degrees. Wasn't too bad and didn't have to dodge any squirrels. Up to 9 degrees now.
The worst is over here. I just holed up and binged all the shows. I think it got to -10 a over a few nights.
Still doesn't compare to 2 years ago, it got to -30. First time I actually felt pain from cold.
Anyone (in Ohio) remember Christmas time 2022? Wind chills got to -25. I worked that night and coming out in the morning the temperature would take your breath away. It was just a different kind of pain.
I got up that afternoon and the door to my garage had blown open and my house was 55 degrees.
As far as consistent snow/cold goes, this has to be the worst winter we've had in NE Ohio in the last 5+ years. Seems like recently we may get one, maybe 2, snowfalls then pretty much nothing. This winter has been pretty steady.
35 min walk/jog on the hills around my neighborhood
Felt pretty good
