Now that Thanksgiving has passed, our yearly tradition of rewatching a bunch of Christmas movies has started. We are finishing up White Christmas as we speak. Before the season ends we will watch most of the following:

Home Alone
Home Alone 2
Miracle on 34th Street (original)
The Santa Clause
It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Story
Elf
Christmas Vacation

Do you have any movies you tend to watch each year? What are your favorite Christmas movies?

Home alone

Santa Claus

Christmas Story on Christmas Eve for sure. Love it

I like others, but those 3 are necessities. I'd put Elf close to all of them. To be honest, never watched It's a Wonderful Life

Christmas Vacation at least 5x each season. I never get tired of it,

others on the list:

  • Home Alone
  • Home Alone 2
  • Christmas Story
  • A Wonderful Life
  • White Christmas
  • Die Hard (no opinion, but watch it this time of year regardless)
  • Santa Clause
  • Elf
  • Then a few random movies that happen to be on cable/Netflix/Prime/Etc

My TV watching for the next month is relegated to college basketball and Christmas Movies...with football sprinkled in on weekends.

Watched Elf for the first time last night, mind you I don't think Ferrell is funny.  It was not awful, but stupid, not sure why it gets praise.

Always watch It's a Wonderful Life.

Usually watch Rudolf, Polar Express

"White Christmas" in the #1 spot.

Gotta put "Holiday Inn" in there - without it, "White Christmas" might not have been made.

"Muppets Christmas Carol" is also one of my favorites.

Christmas Story

Elf

Christmas Vacation.

My wife will probably sucker me into watching a few Hallmark movies.  The only redeeming quality is I did see the other day with Shannon Elizabeth. She at least gives me something to look at.

I like Scrooged, as well. We don't watch it every year, but have watched it several times.
