  • Breaking Bad
  • Sopranos (hated it first time)
  • Game of Thrones (probably minority here)

Worst:

  • Dexter
  • TrueBlood
  • 2.5 Men
  • Seinfeld (more of a meh ending than bad)

Best-

The Office

Parks and Rec

Friday Night Lights

Worst-

Big Bang Theory-a show that was one of the funniest shows in history for the first 2-3 seasons, REALLY got bad near the end and the finale wasn't good at all.

I am not a series person, but I remember from college and all my friends were into it. But, doesn't the worst list always begin with -- Lost?

Of a few series that I've watched more recently.

Great:

The Wire

Good:

Boardwalk Empire

Narcos

Bad:

Game of Thrones

Tales from the Crypt (a fucking lame-ass faux-horror take on 3 Little Pigs that was animated)

I was in college when Cheers ended. I actually liked the last episode even though the series had jumped the shark a couple of years before.

Seinfeld was bad.  Bad ending to a great, great show.

Good:
Breaking Bad
Burn Notice
The Sopranos
The Wire
Mad Men

Bad:
Dexter
Two and a Half Men
How I Met Your Mother
Seinfeld
Friends

I've not seen GoT, but by every indication, that one sucked, too.

Lost is a top 3 all time show for me. It was a meh ending but I was still satisfied with it if that makes any sense.

I forget how The Wire ends. I've only watched the series once, and it's top 3 for me, but I can't place the finale. Needs a rewatch.

Game 7 of the 1997 and 2016 World Series.   Terrible finales.

Looking back, G7 2016 WS (and blowing the lead) is going to kill me. But at the time, I simply couldn’t be as upset as I was because of what the Cavs had done. 2015 NBA, 95/97 WS, 2007 ALCS, all hurt more to me. 2016 is probably the worst Cleveland loss if we are being honest, because of 3-1, it was just tough to be as upset because of LeBron and Co.

I reluctantly found myself thinking that way, too.

I don't think anything can top HIMYM...it would take real effort to have a worse finale than that.

I can’t believe Larry and Jerry didn’t just do a regular episode and wrap it up somehow in the last act. Kind of crazy to think about knowing what we know about Larry David now.

While S6/S7 didn’t live up to the Sorkin levels of excellence without him, of S1-5. I found the finale of the West Wing to be very pleasing. I watched S1-5 years ago, but just got around to S6/S7 this past month. New Sorkin left and had heard about the drop-off, so just never invested. It was drastic, but overall still good tv.

I initially felt that way during the WS. It felt like we were playing with house money. I was severely wrong, because the following day at work I was legitimately depressed.  That was a tough one to swallow and it’s right up there with 97 for me. I would rank the 2007 ALCS below the 97 and 16 World Series.

You have to rise to the occasion and they simply didn’t for one more game. Especially with how much the MLB playoffs are a crap shoot (I.e. the ALDS the following year). Now their window is pretty much closed.
