Since the weather seems to be getting, well, uh, not cold. I know I'm planning somewhat of a massive (by my lazy-ass standards) home improvement project to clean the place, trash a bunch of stuff I don't need/want/use and add a couple things (primarily bookshelves, as too many of my books are in boxes in the storage room and I don't really have a good place for movies, either).

Closing on a new house in Downers Grove (outside Illinois). Basically move in ready, but will need to put in a fence and redo the (shitty) cement patio to brick pavers. After that’s done, hire some professionals to landscape it.

We had a giant tree in our front yard cut down a couple months ago, and we just had our main sewer line replaced a couple weeks ago. Now we have to make our yard not look like shit.
New AC and furnace installed today.
Hoping to remodel our kitchen at some point this summer. New floors, counters, backsplash and appliances. We are painting the existing cabinets.
Love to be a homeowner.

Already ripped out my old deck last week, which the previous owners had neglected. Tentatively scheduled for the concrete guys to be out next Tuesday to do the patio.
After that, will have to grow some grass and do some other landscaping projects to make it all look nice.

I've got a bunch planned, we'll see how many I get through.
- Redo our deck
- Furnish our new basement
- Build a wall-mounted shelving unit in my office
- Find and hang artwork in my office
- Fix our crappy landscaping (rip out a massive rose bush, move some other plants, plant a tree, etc)
- Brew lots of beer and set up a kegging system
- Repaint our front porch stairs and decking
- Replace door and add a window or two to our garage

Kegging is the way to go with Homebrewing. Filling bottles is a PITA.

Replace privacy fence sections on one side of backyard. Install laminate in living room/dining room. Then the wife wants to create a defined and attractive flower bed area in front yard with interlocking pavers. My hands and back hurt just thinking about it.
Not sure when, but after all that, we have two large trees to remove from backyard, and re-do the walls and roof of our storage shed.

Oh yeah, we want to replace our ugly chain link fence with privacy fence as well.

Indeed. It's not as bad on smaller batches, but filling 50 bottles sucks.

Just bought a new house so yeah...quite a few!
New yard, tearing down a fence and replacing it. We sold the 16x16' garage that they jacked up and towed away.
Just a lot of small things we need to get done.
Previous owners left the yard in shambles with weeds, bare spots.....will take a bit of time to get it looking okay

Depends on the weather and other activities, but I'm going to try to build a stone fire pit in the back yard, complete with a small flagstone patio surrounding it.

Same, and a barbeque area.
We had a 16'x16' garage we just got rid of. Found someone to buy it and take it away. They jacked it up, put a trailer under it and took it away.
Looking at diff in ground fire pits and barbeque areas. Need to get a few things done first before I can proceed but right now it is slapping a copule coats of paint on the fences and deck. the yard pretty much needs totally done but cannot do that until the other stuff is completed.
Excited for all the projects...just not enough time. Only been in the house for a few weeks but want all it done yesterday

Finally getting our fence soon after a battle with the HOA. Then need to put in a parking pad (probably spend the money for poured cement), and then decide what kind of patio do go with. I don't really like the look of cement, especially in our area, so most likely will do pavers or something like that.
