Wall ?
A guy convicted for murdering his wife last year was from Ohio. I think everyone from Ohio should be shipped out of this country.

so you don't believe that a war zone is a different symantic referant than a nation?
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/war-zone?s=t

noun, plural countries.
1. a state or nation:
What European countries have you visited?

Not sure how this response is relevant.
posted by fish82There was never a "National Scream at the Sky Day" during Obama's term, IIRC. Nor were there riots on either Inauguration Day.
As I said...reasonable people can certianly see the difference.
The Tea Party reaction to Obama was the same thing in Substance if not form as the left's "Resistance" to Trump.

How about a wall around Ohio?

Maybe you failed to read the article.

I read it. This guy is a POS, no argument there. The implication seems to be that we need a wall to keep people coming over from Mexico out because they are dangerous as exemplified by this guy. Assuming that we are in danger from these people because of individual criminal cases is like saying people in Ohio are dangerous because of the Cleveland robber who killed a store clerk during a holdup. It has been show that crime rates for documented and undocumented people are far lower than that of native born Americans. A wall protects us from nothing.

The crime rate for illegals is 100%.

Maybe you should drive around Cleveland and look at all the fences (walls) people have around their homes and businesses. There is a good reason. People, including you I assume, also lock their doors at night .........in order to protect their families, not because they are racists.
The # 1 priority of elected federal officials is the defense of the nation and its people. Until the border is secure, their jobs are not finished. The wall is one element of the defense of the nation. It does not need to be a 100 foot high concrete wall all the way from from San Diego to Brownsville, but for much of that stretch it is necessary, coupled with other defensive barriers and tactics. Assuming we put the right people in the right positions to secure the border, it can and will happen.
Good luck

The concept of the wall is based on the fact that immigrants are dangerous - very simple. In fact, you have a lot more to worry about from right inside your own city as opposed to these muderous invadors from the south. Most of these people are here for the same reasons our ancestors came - to make a better life for their families. What many had to endure to get here is risky and dangerous. Most are here to pursue the American dream just like we do. People say "well do it legally". I will say two things to that: one, yours and my ancestors just showed up here too. They didn't need to jump through the hoops that are in place today in order to stay. By today's standards, they were "illegal" to in the sense that there was no formal requirement for them. Had they been required to "do it the right way" according to the rules of today, it is likely many of them would never have made it here. Second, most of these people are here working their ass off to make it. They pay taxes and are law abiding. They fill a huge segment of our workforce that would otherwise be struggling mightly. I can learn a lot from the work ethic I see them practice everyday right in my own community. Say what you want, but the wall is based ultimately on fear. Fear of people that are different. Focusing on selected criminal cases paints a picture that isn't true. These immigrants are law abiding at a rate higher than our native born population.
I try to imagine what Christ would have to say about a wall. When I think about it that way, it is clear to me what is right.

You don't have to imagine what Christ would have said. He told Nehemiah to build the wall.

You probably need to read up before you head down this path.
Immigrants can still come to the U.S., wall or no wall, in a legal fashion.
The wall is to keep the law breakers out.
Federal officials have a constitutional duty to defend the nation and its people.
