How did the Blackhawk not see the giant plane all lit up coming right towards its’ path? 

Because maybe they just saw the other plane that was taking off? Just guessing here, but we will know once the NTSB and FAA go through their findings.

I'm not one to blame anyone yet as it's complicated.

I do know there have been a number of near misses on runways recently. Also, the FAA has been struggling with low staff numbers and burnouts. May not be a factor, but may be. 

Trump is Trump and just like Biden did, he will say stupid stuff. 

Thank god the fire cheif was white or the fire dept would be getting blamed for not rescuing anyone.  I wish that was a joke.

I don’t think Trump should have went down this road for this incident. But this discussion could have been easily avoided if people were hired on merit and not someone’s view of what % of color or gender their workforce should be.

Black people have only been asking for this for 200 years. Unfortunately no one cared until all of the sudden white people got a small taste of how it feels. Even with saying that most of the beneficiaries of this were white. But yes it could have been avoided had hiring practices been based on actual merit. I think we can all agree that didn’t happen

I asked a question I didn’t defend anything.

Trump is an idiot for immediately jumping to DEI programs lowering standards during a tragedy EVEN IF HE IS RIGHT (and I’m not saying he is). A normal human being grieves, is apologetic, mentions an investigation will happen and we will get to the bottom of it.

A rational human doesn’t jump to conclusions before the facts are out.

That being said, can you provide a quote that someone said it was a gay person, woman, or minority?

On another note, I thought Patel did ok in his FBI hearing. 

Now, he disavowed a lot or his crazy rhetoric and said he wouldn't go after Trump's opponents, so have to hold him to that.

I think you’re misunderstanding, and I think Trump bringing it up was stupid. I’m saying DEI wouldn’t be discussed if it didn’t exist. Happened in LA. The water person said her #1 priority was equity. Looks real dumb when there are reservoirs without water in them. Or people saying they need more women firefighters and ones that look like the people they serve, when I’m pretty sure the people they serve only want saved.
