It's the end of an era. This really bums me out.

I was hoping the Reds would pick up his option (or resign to a reduced contract), spend some of the cash they're sitting on, and go win a title in his final season. But since it's a rule of the universe that I can never be fully happy as a sports fan that was likely never in the cards.

Figured it was a done deal the last couple home games.

He knew, they had talked.

I’m good with it. I’d be good with him playing for $3 million and hitting against righties and being a great dugout guy. Hell I wouldn’t care if he were player manager or just the manager

Shoulda kept him.
