Australian Open currently in round 1. Top 2 Americans are already out (Sock and Isner). But frankly I’m over this generation. (Other than Sock). I have high hopes for the next group: Donaldson, Tiafoe, Paul, Fritz (though he lost in qualifying title match for this) and Mmoh.

Mostly Fritz. He can win some slams this decade I think.

Not many tennis fans on here lol. Federer through to another Major Slam Final. The guy is incredible. The best to ever play the game. Just incredible to watch him.

Faces Marin Cilic in the finals. Should be a decent match, Cilic has given him some problems on hard courts in the past.

Nice to see Fed in the finals.  I thought he was done a few years ago, and now he seems to have found the fountain of youth for his last hurrah of his career.  He and Nadal are like Tiger Woods to me.  When they are in the run for a title, I normally pay attention.  If not, idgaf.  I am a fair weather tennis fan.

Lack of Americans have killed interest here. There is a new wave of really talented guys (and Tennys Sandgren isn’t one of them) who are all under 25. Hopefully they pan out.

I watch the majors and bigger tournaments, but yeah, without Fed/Joker/Nadal, the interest is definitely less.

In women’s championship #1 Halep has had to seek treatment for heat related illness. 90 degrees on the court....still anyone’s game but she’s worn the hell down

She was a bitch during the match earlier against the American, I can’t remember her name. But the American literally had her toenail ripped off and was getting treatment and she kept standing there saying “what is happening? What is happening?”

I’m glad she lost the final.

I’m glad it’s 3-2 in 3rd set and now know who is going to win 😐

And don’t come on here tomorrow. I’ll probably be watching/posting about the Men’s Final live. Unless people want me to wait.

For shit sakes guys I knew it probably wasn’t live but didn’t want to look to see if it was knowing I’d see results if it were. God forbid I turn it on and watch before playing on my phone to see who has already won. Yeah I posted figuring it was not live but also added.....still anyone’s game. Pretty fair hint I didn’t know who won.

it was a great match and refreshing to watch afterwards not act like douches but just two top competitors going at it. Wozniaki really earned it in that final game, looked like Halep had her on two of those points but she showed great range and put good shots on them to turn the tables.

Well, quite a start for Fed. 4-0 in the first set, and you can probably already give it to him. 2 sets away from Major 20.

Cilic takes the second in a tiebreak. 1-1. Was a bit undeserved as he was in trouble all set, but wasn’t broken.

Best of 3 now. And I’ll miss the rest flying to sunny Minneapolis.

Man that was good. Cilic couldn’t get going and couldn’t finish. He stunk in those two sets. He was moving so much better than Federer in the middle of the match but bitching about racquets and struggling with Federer’s backhand spinners ....

#20, wow

Liking my Tsitsipas outright! Time for the young guys to continue to take over.
