A few former Reds at the All-Star game.

Luis Castillo
Sonny Gray
Michael Lorenzen
Nick Castellanos

And it was a former Pirate who had the winning hit. To make up for the current Pirate putting them down 1-0 early.

I think 2019 is when they went to the generic AL/NL all star uniforms...kinda blah - but its more merchandise to sell, so I get it.

Also, hindsight is 20/20 - but I am sure the Reds are wishing they still had Castillo right now. Knowing what they know now, Noelvi Marte may never crack the starting lineup at the major league level.

I think they went to these like 2 decades ago. Then back to team unis. Now back to this. My friend 100000% had a Nomar ASG jersey in like 2004.

Pretty sure they always wore matching uniforms for the derby, but wore their team uniforms for the game.

Looks like 2021 was the first year for everyone wearing the same uniform during the actual game.

Ohhhh that could be.

Yeah, it was the cutoff 1999 ASG jersey that’s etched into my mind for Nomar. But looking at photos, they all seem to be from the HR Derby.

So figured it out. They have had these for decades now. Only worn during the derby, but all the AS reps had them and wore them. Then they could market them for sales, and team pictures were taken.

…but for the televised game, it was team jerseys.

This is my second 9/9. I usually stall out on 2 people. Couldve had a few more, but then realized the rarity aspect so tried to rack my brain. SDP and DET took me forever today.

I scored a 37 the other day….I still try to go low and be creative but now I just try to get it pretty quickly and 1-2 usually take some thinking but I’m not trying to think of the middle relief pitcher that pitched 3-4 years between the Marlins and Angels from 1997-2000

I usually can get the more rare ones on the career/team specific number. Because there are the few obvious ones everyone gravitates to, then the guys who played a few yrs at the end of career elsewhere. Like the 500 HR today. SFG only have a few options, but DET and OAK had a few that you do not think of for those teams.

I thought I went creative with a catcher for SDP and SFG...7%!!!

My SD & SF catcher was 5%. Wonder if we guessed the same guy and the percentages just changed.

Great looking card, btw.

And Eddie Mathews for DET. Which was, at the time, only like 2%
