Cleveland wins 2-1 and up 1-0 in series over Rays

Cards up 2-0 in 9th but flame thrower Helsley looked like Rick Ankiel and it’s 2-1 with bases jacked and 1 out….new pitcher coming in

Mariners up 3-0 early over Blue Jays

Cardinals got Cardinal’d by the Phillies…pitching sucked but blooops and 4 hop singles got it done. Few outside of St Louis are upset.

Helsley got 3 outs like closers usually do, but unfortunately 2 of them were in the 8th, then the roof caved in.  Cleveland got away with getting the last four outs from Clase.  Mariners, with a 4-0 lead, get the last 5 from Munoz.

Damn….Blue Jays blow a monster lead and it’s now 9-9 in the 8th. George Springer and Bichette with a NASTY collision. Awful. Springer being carted off.

I mean these two NL games today have given some of the best defensive highlights I’ve seen all year…..and I just fucking giggle imagining the Reds guys making those plays

It took a hit on me too….but the Braves/Phillies and Dodgers/Padres games were excellent and crowd was awesome. Just like watching last year…these teams are light years ahead of the Reds in many areas (defense and relief pitching jumps out the most)

I watched Seattle and Houston use like 16 relief pitchers and every one of them looked better than the guys the Yankees used late in the pivotal game.

I sat by her at a Reds game for a few minutes when Nick was on the Tigers….not too smart it looks.

ALCS tickets at Yankee Stadium are $11…..if I was a Yankees fan and near there it would be awesome. It’s likely to be a great game even though Yankees aren’t winning the series….but if they win it’s still going to be fun and electric at the stadium

Which is more rare, a pitcher having a perfect game or an umpire?

Umpire. But it shouldn’t be. Out of 100ish taken pitches in a game, how many are actually borderline? 20 tops? This should

Happen a lot more often, and the folks who say “but he was 96% on called pitches” ignore the fact it was like 62% on pitches that didn’t catch 4 inches of plate.

Please, just give us the robots.

Postponement of game 3 a definite possibility tonight.  They say a delayed start shouldn't be an option as the forecast gets worse as the evening progresses.
