16 players accused of rape/assault since Dantoni began...one handled by having player speak with his mother?
Associate coach under Izzo accused and two basketball players as well
Sounds like some bad stuff going on in Mich State basketball and especially football going back about 10 years....but ESPN Outside the Lines bringing out a lot of incidents

The AD has stepped down, now I'm thinking the cleaning will also include Dantonio and possibly even Izzo.
Sounds awful.
I saw Dantonio do a press conference last night saying that the claims involving him, or accusations against football, weren't true. Basically, he said that anything that happened was reported to the proper authorities and was handled in the correct manner. Guess we'll see.

Yeah he had the stern sharp answers you hope are true...but we’ve seen that before also. Even if he did everything g on his end there was a lot of stuff that was football players.
Izzo looked like hell during his. Maybe his game wore him out (he’s gets tore up with the best of them)....but he looked like he was about to puke.
I find it hard to believe that Izzo and Dantonio had no idea this was all happening. I'm not saying they're pieces of shits who encouraged or enabled it to happen; but, they definitely had some idea this was happening and decided to turn a blind eye to it.
Michigan State is about to get fucking destroyed with infractions.

Wouldn't enabling be having some idea it was happening and turning a blind eye?

absolutely it is...and imo, Dantonio or Izzo will not be at MSU next season--I don't think the axe will fall for both of them.
I don't like the idea of "turning a blind eye," rather, I feel the way this (in my head) was probably handled (by Izzo/Dantonio... if they were aware) was, "I trust that the authorities above me and in place at this institution will handle this situation the proper way." Hopefully there is record of each of them notifying someone above them... doubt it, though.

The only time the ncaa has any teeth is when someone else does the investigating. I would not be surprised if MSU gets hammered for this. (And it looks like the ncaa pres may get hit too)

I do.....both programs have multiple accusations during the current coaching tenure for Dantonio and Izzo.
While I really like both of them, in fact Izzo is my favorite college basketball coach, I don't see them surviving this in our current cultural climate.

I agree with you, it's just that I don't think it'll happen to both of them--it's too much of a hit at one time...jmo.
How did they transition from gymnastics to football/basketball anyways? A week ago it was all about Nassar/gymnastics and a few days later they're digging up the other programs potentially covering up rape?

His Michigan State connection led to inquiries at the school...and then the floodgates opened...

Mainly due to how the university administration's comments illustrated how negligent they were in following up on Nassar complaints, I think. Like the trustee saying the university president shouldn't be canned because she's done a lot of fundraising for the school and other tone-deaf comments. So it kind of went to "If they didn't investigate this shit, what else did they let go?".
