So today I'm seeing rumors on Facebook that OSU is no longer recruiting Emory Jones. It sounds like he's going to sign somewhere else.

When I saw they got another QB for the upcoming class, I figured as much, especially since Jones kept looking at other schools.
Doesn't overly surprise me, simply because OSU is so set at QB for the near future that a guy like Jones would be on the bench or playing in the fourth quarter of blowouts for at least a couple years barring injury, mass exodus (ie: BOTH Burrow and Martell leaving) or someone turning into a bum.

They just had a story about this on Deadspin. The violations are so comically bizarre it's mind-boggling. While doing a visit at Ohio State, his parents and/or him requested to visit the GameDay set, since they were there that weekend. Herbstreit was there and Eddie George was, too, as a guest-picker. He met those two and Lee Corso, took pics with them and talked a bit and then resumed his tour of the campus.
Meeting guys like Herby and George is cool...but they were working as media people at the time (the meeting with them happened during a commercial break), and so it was a minor violation. Just so fucking stupid how shit like that gets determined. Meet with them off-air, it's cool; meet with them during a break while on-air and it's bad. Fuck the NCAA.

The Micah Parsons stuff is crazy. I think it has more to do with the tweet about changing qbs more than the violations. I also read Herbstreits reply to all this and he says he did not think anything of it since it happens on every college campus they go too. Just seems crazy to quit recruiting the best end in this cycle cause of this infraction.
I have read several articles about Jones not being a buckeye. Its been swirling around for months that he is going to bama. I understand why he would seeing the competition he will have to face. But if hes that good he should not worry about it. Competition would make him better IMO.

Loved how lane kiffen trolled Saban about how he hates the early signing period.
Kiffin said he had ambowl game this week and a conference championship game to prepare for in this period and saban didn't have either

Losing Oweh and Parsons both to Penn St hurt. Oweh saying Larry Johnson is old and that Larry was going to retire just kills me. These other coaches must be filling these kids heads full of all kinds of Bullshit.
